the clutch should be pressed down and held as you do everything at the slave cylinder. I was saying it should start at full travel before being pushed in.

basically just a hand powered pump that sucks the fluid out of the bleeder

Those vacuum pumps sometimes pull in air around the bleeder nipple. Not enough fluid flow to accommodate the pressure of the pump

I have always done a gravity bleed, then a vigorous actuation of the clutch pedal, then gravity bleed again. IT has worked for me and i've had no issues since my last flush. If bleeding isnt working, go back to the original pushrod setting and bleed again. ITs not a huge system, and shouldnt harbor very many spots to trap air

Any dirty fluid that would need to be evacuated from the system would be pushed into the reservoir. Other than this, nothing should happen to your brake system

To my understanding, yes. thats what i tried first and pumped about 3-4 quarts through it. after no progress was made, i then tried the pump, pump, hold, and vacuum pump the fluid out method. Not sure if thats even the right way to do it, but i was desperate at that point.

I am leaning more towards your adjustment being a part of this issue, but just open the bleeder nipple for a few minutes, just barely cracked. Let gravity pull the fluid through, then close the nipple before actuating the clutch pedal. Sometimes slow flow is better

Thought i had a winner for a minute there. Did the back bleed method from the brake caliper to the slave and had about 75% pedal pressure. I tried to do this again to get it to 100% but then it went to no pressure at all..

Trying the gravity method right now and having a cold one while i wait

That sucks. New slave at parts store is something like $30, don’t think they make a rebuild kit for it.

You're telling me. I've been fighting this bitch for 10+ hours now. I guess i will just have to end up replacing the slave.. Would like to go OEM, but those three letters sound expensive
