Haha thanks. I actually made them last year to support my rear axle when I replaced my SUA bushings. I have been keeping them around and I just found a new purpose for them. I have thought about making some sort of stands that bolt to the wheel studs. The same idea of what you would see at an offroad show.

That would be a great adapter for a jack stand...

 

Is that a Clear Linex you have on your fender? Or just a close matched grey?

 

mine took forever too. I thankfully installed them when i swapped to LT so it just prolonged the bullshit.

 

Sad to say for me we ran out of time so only the drivers side is on for mine. I need to get the passenger side apart sometime this summer to finish the deed.

 

should i do camburg 2.0 race hubs on 6x5.5 or 2-1/4" race hubs on 5x5.5? for TT motorsports front kit

 

I'd say 5 on 5.5 just for wheel selection. A matching econoline 9" in the back and you're golden.

 

kinda leaning to the 5x5 idk why, ill be doing a burg housing with d60 hubs so ill be able to match the lugs

 

There’s a big o in cottonwood heights I always took my LT 2016 to. And all of my other heavily modified vehicles. They always did a good job on my stuff.

Just make sure you explain the specs you want. Then you’ll get a person that know what they are doing.

 

You can use a milk crate standing up the tall way or regular way depending on how high you have it.

Anyone use 18" springs on their 8" coilovers?

 

plenty do. I know that on a 1st gen its better if you have a flat bottom spring perch though which most kits won't allow to run.

Yeah Paul at solo told me to at least use my raised spring seats if not extended rod ends. Why would a flat seat be better, to give it a little more space? I guess I can just use my 18x600 spring from my 10" on my 8". My 8" came with 14x600 and I'm seeing if someone would trade those for 16x600. Would 16x600 be better than 18x600 if I can snag some?

 

Thought about making a set of those to do my alignment.

 

Seems easy enough if you started out with some old brake rotors

 

Only thing that stopped me was the sketch factor of them tipping toward or back while under the truck.

 

18" springs should fit fine on any standard 8" coilover that doesn't have an external top cap (sway-a-way) with a standard raised seat.

Most shock companies are making custom external top cap shocks for 2nd gen LT applications so 18" coils won't fit on those without compressing the coil.

If an 18" spring fits freely on a shock there will be no binding issues. 18" springs will have a little more spring travel than 16" so you can get away with a little more preload if necessary.
