This one is Pilkington. Not really in to the science of windshields but its looks just like the old one with the camera mount and everything.

I agree with that...But on the flip side if he did the trip with the cracked winshield it easily could have ended up getting much worse

If you want to keep your face out of the instrument panel, you wear a seat belt and shoulder belt. I won't fly an aircraft without both. Most aircraft accidents are survivable and are even more survivable if you're strapped in.

3 Nights ago I was on a location for work and we got a nasty hail storm. Every Dodge, Chevy, and Ford on location had a broken windshield. My 2018 Tacoma and another 2016 Tundra were the only to trucks that did not have a cracked windshield. Needless to say if the body of my truck did not get so F ed up I would be proud that it held up but I got mad dents. It sucked having to sit and watch all the carnage out the window and nothing I could do about it.

    Update:
Took my truck back to the dealer and they were still unable to recalculate the camera. They are telling me I might have to return it back to stock for them to fix the problem. I just don’t get this.

Damn...Toyota is making it tougher for us to mod these trucks without Dealers panties bunching up. Im all for safety but should have the option to turn it off if you choose.

We're going to get to a point where there's too much crap going on and we won't be able to mod vehicles. When that happens, old vehicle prices will go up because everyone will want those....Maybe. If that happens, I'm just going to buy an old truck that I really like and keep it the rest of my life, I've had it with this government babysitting junk all over my vehicles

Most likely, the reading and measurements that the computer is trying to make will be inaccurate or possibly will not work. Similar to the TPMS sensors on your wheels. Increase diameter of the tire, or using larger wheels throws off the computer with the program put in place at the factory. Recalibrate or “reflash” the computer with your physical changes made...than everything works. Like everything else, everybody has an their own thoughts on what to do.

Their are many vehicles on the road with “check engine lights on” because a sensor cannot read the program it was designed to read because of a modification or sensor failure.
