What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Emblem looks like 1/8inch ish thick so won’t be able to tap it.

 

Ya I got the color on today, gotta cut it then I’ll clear coat it. I used the same stuff on my fenders and it matched perfectly.

always wanted to do this, but it is so daunting and hard to get right.

did you have to split anywhere for the curvature?
they have knife-less cutting tape that the wrap guys use...awesome stuff.

Your handy work on those flares is impressive

Seeing this shows me I can go bigger and massage the flare and the factory bumper, that was my biggest concern. Though I won't be doing 37's lol

 

Changed the spark plugs for 60k service then realized I forgot to swap them out at 30k. Replaced air filters and then did an oil change- I finally switched to synthetic oil. All I have left is the differentials.

Took a quick evening trail ride after work up to the mountains and the new K/O2s did not disappoint.

 

Skied some terrible snow and got the new wheels dirty.

 

Put my color matched grill back on, much nicer than chrome.
Got an 06 chrome grill if anybody needs one, just pay for shipping.

If you do screws just screw it to a backing plate on the other side of the grille so it doesn’t slide around. Just position the 2 end screws up against one of the corners of the hex section so they are nice and wedged in.

 

Gave it a bath early this morning before it hits 104. After reading many threat on Modifications and adding aftermarket Audio equipment, i have come to the conclusion that 6 of in a large build it a hoist and lift could assemble a 2018 Tacoma is less than a month. Toyota delivers all the parts and a painted body, frame, interior, and and the assemble and ready to install drive train we could do it. There is a very knowledgeable bunch people here who could do it. Just no welding or painting.
