Good morning, day 3 of 4 days of off. Feels strange... Damn I could get used to this.

Thursday found the new Browning Sweet 16 shotgun I was looking for, in New Mexico. Saved $500 but still spent $1,000. Yesterday spent the day with a friend shooting sporting clays half way across the State. What a great day!

Should get some work done around here today going to rain tomorrow all day. But feel like just sitting on the deck grilling and maybe shooting pictures of hummingbirds. Or doing nothing at all. This having fun shit and not working could get addicting.

In 1981 after the Iranian Hostage Crisis Situation at the age of 23 had the Modified Bristow procedure done to my left shoulder by the Navy for the same reason. Injured it when off the coast of Iran for 118 days. It is a very primitive procedure no longer used and is now giving me problems, but have other problems to worry about first. Odds are what they did for him will provide much better long term results, and work. Recovery can be long and need to be careful not to overdo it in the beginning. Hope he does well with it and that things work out for him. And the painful part is as short as possible.

Sure there is, FISHING! Wisconsin (and Minnesota) Friday night walleye fish fry, hard to get much better than that  Especially if at an old fashioned Supper Club.

Friend of mine that is a 2 Star Admiral (Upper Half) has a cabin just up the road from you in Phillips. Kind of early for grouse hunting yet DNR kind of frowns on that type of thing.

Damn deer here are in the yard and right up to the house like many others here this year. This morning the dog was sitting at the top of the driveway surveying his domain and a doe tried to sneak up behind him to go by.

    deer and dog.jpg

But the wind gave her away and he busted her. The deer seem to know right where the electric fence is for the dog now and will push it right to the limit.

We were actually going to throw the Toyota dealer in there but they did alright. They even knocked off $2k because we have a non GM vehicle (the Jeep). I don't know what that was about but I'll take it.

It's a whole lot easier and you pack a little more ammo when you walk in with the check and they have to work for it. They know I didn't have to write the check to them.

No time for fishing this time, family stuff.
Will be going to Phillips tomorrow. Brother in law is pastor at local church.
DNR frowns on a lot of stuff.
