LED Dome Light

Gotcha thanks. I'm gonna get that one and another one try, only a couple bucks why not... Is there even any need to remove the resistor? If the lights functioning, currents not passing through the resistor right

 

If light is on some current is pasding through resistor. But in small bulbs it is not much - if it is not super easy to remove, do not need to bother.

^This thing is amazing how much brighter/better it is than not only the stock halogen bulb, but also the stupid LED bulb I got from Oreillys!

Gets me wondering about changing the rest of the exterior bulbs. Has anybody tried changing the parking lights, or turn/brake lights like with this

Forgive me if this is a dumb question, electronics are not my forte. I understand swapping the wires for your door switches to the dome light switch on the other side, but what are the jumper between 4 and 12, the terminated trace, and the cut resistor accomplishing? My door/dome light is out currently, I was going to try and replace the resistor but now you’ve got me curious. Thanks!

 

It's been awhile since I did that mod. If I remeber it total eliminated the body control modules dome light control and made it function like the older trucks. My dome lights work with switch on light itself and only when doors are open and light switch is in door mode or on mode with doors closed
