    Unfortunately I have been unable to work out a good deal on ram ball mounts so if I sell it to you I would have to charge basically full price plus 1.50 for the bushing and bolt plus shipping for all, I can do it, but for it to be worth it for me I have to charge $20

    Sorry for the newbie question. I want to be able to mount my ipad all the way in the hole to the far right for my wife's IPAD for her to watch on road trips and to stream music from etc. Like in this picture. Is this product you are selling just for the narrow mounting plate and post? Or does the actual mount for the ipad come with it? What do I need to do to make this happen basically.

    My DMM came in!

    It was perfectly packaged, and everything is top-quality. I'm VERY impressed; most DIY-type products are a bit rough, but this was all 100% high quality. My only complaint is the flush mount fasteners are a bit finicky since I've never used that type of fastener before. After the 2nd one though, it went fast. I think I would have been just as content with a countersunk allen bolt, but the finish is a bit better with the flush mount fasteners.

    I think I had the whole thing done start to finish in 30 minutes.
    1. Just grab the radio surround and pull. It pops off.
    2. Clamp DMM in place. I used cheapo tiny Harbor Freight clamps (these ). Drill all the countersunk holes for mounting.
    3. Drill the normal holes for the RAM mount where you'll be putting a RAM ball. I had 2, so I drilled the 2 outer holes and left the rest of the holes not drilled.
    4. Secure the DMM to the backplates. I needed to use an allen wrench and a small (7mm?) crescent wrench to get them snug. I found holding the nut in place, starting by hand, and then tightening with the allen wrench to the LEFT worked better. Remember, you're doing it from the backside, so lefty is tighty for those fasteners.
    5. Put the included spacer in the RAM ball and put the bolt in, tighten in place.
    6. Clip back in truck, mount your gear.

    They recently passed hands-free laws in GA (starting 1 July), so I have my phone up for navigation on one RAM arm and the other's for my UV-5R to clip to. It is stout, looks 100% factory, and should last. I definitely recommend this mod.

    YES that's good for the "bushing" and the ram ball but that specific screw WILL NOT work unless you use a washer, the head diameter on those is .303" in and the center hole on the ball is .312", you need either a screw with a wider head or a washer, I will check out that website to see if I can find the right screw.
