Dang man. Something in the air. That sucks. Though a rockstar in his 50s is a pretty good run. Those guys are hard.

@JaCado A great day for fishing up in Big Bear today. The trout up there are fucking massive compared to Bishop. I was only able to reel 1 in and my buddy reeled 1 as well because 4lb test was not up to the challenge. I lost 3 good size ones that snapped the line without much of a challenge.

The guys next to us were reeling in some monsters.

    :D you thought I was lying:rofl:
4lb is good test, try a 6lb pline floroclear leader. But it takes practice getting them in. Got to know how to work that drag on the reel:anonymous:

They might also be trout, but it is totally different to reel them in than at Bishop. It requires way more finesse and skill.

Got back to my house around 3AM. Kyle said he was wired and went on home. Alex is taking a nap in my drive way. Offered him my guest bed but he said just wanted a nap, and if he got into a bed he wasn't getting up for 8 hours.

I missed a text from Tetten late last night that I missed, they removed the ring gear to get him mobile again. I would imagine he got home safely.

Taking a power nap and playing it safe I suppose, sounds like long day for everyone. Plus that kind of trail repair is lengthy in time which added to the long ass day...
