9k off MSRP? Sounds too good to be true. Where are you located?

Was it 42k because it has a shitload of accessories? Or premium + tech packages?

Haha this was me too. It was perfect because at one point the other dealer called me while I was negotiating at the table with them and I showed them “Melbourne Toyota is calling” and that helped get the ball rolling. The 100k miles on the powetrain is really nice.

It’s quicksand color. I couldn’t believe how absurd that was so I snapped a picture and walked out. Won’t ever step foot back in that dealer.

Meanwhile 10 miles away I’m about to go close a deal on a DCLB TRDOR with tech package and floor mats. MSRP is 38,698 and I’m getting it at 33,922 plus TTL.

Just what i thought, Costco membership pricing is NO better than you can do yourself. I think you could have did even better on your own. My dealer already told me I could get $3k off a DBL cab sport auto with tech and TRD premium upgrade, but I want more than that. When they get over $40 k they should be able to do closer to $4k off.

My best offer so far is about $3700 below MSRP for tech and premium. Before rebate.

    Down in Louisiana

It was 42k when I built the exact same truck on Toyota's website.

I asked them why and all they told me was they were extremely competitive with their prices. It's not loaded too heavily. I'd have to find my window sticker to remember everything but their internet price even started at 38k. Trade brought it down to 33 and I put down 3k. I'm sure somewhere along the way I got boned or ended up breaking even but I'm just a negative thinker when it comes to high dollar items lol

That makes more sense. You discounted a trade in and down payment. No way any Tacoma is discounted 9k off sticker.

2018 Cement Off Road Double Cab 4x4 w/o Tech Package in Colorado Springs, CO

Floor Mats / Door Sill Protector, Mud Flaps -- a little sad about not getting heated seats and JBL audio but those weren't absolute needs for me.

MSRP ~ $37,800 (I can update with the actual later)
Price $31,898 before taxes & rebates

Opted for the recent graduate rebate ($750 off) vs. military ($500 off) and went with the 2.9% financing over the $1000 manufacturer rebate. I can't believe how high the rates are without special financing these days, just insane.
I paid $1730 for an extended warranty, first time I've ever done that, but it is for 7 years / 125k which was really hard to turn down.
This dealership also does 2 years of free maintenance which also makes me happy, not sure if that's standard for Toyota but I'm not going to complain.

I originally went to this dealership strictly to test drive a Tacoma because they wouldn't budge below $35k and I'd already been quoted $31598 for the exact same up in Denver, CO. The Denver dealership was selling cheap due to recent hail damage which didn't bother me as it would cover some negative equity from my ex-wifes old vehicle. The Colorado Springs dealership asked for the quote to see if they could "earn my business" and so I forwarded the email before the test drive and by the time I got back they had had increased my trade-in value and a $31898 offer. No hail damage and I didn't have to drive up to Denver? Sold. Very smooth transaction and probably one of my better dealership experiences.

Happy to be back in a Tacoma after 5 years in a Camry and 4Runner.

Not on a Tacoma, however my father in law did purchase a Tundra about 10 years ago for $24.5k on a $36k vehicle, it was a "clearance" price, and some sort of mistake on the dealer's part. No way you can get that deal today, at least not likely.

I like how they charge you for the extended warranty like they’re doing you a favor. My local Toyota dealer gives 7 yr 100k mile warranty for free.

    Bad deal.

Walked out with a new 18 Sport 4x2 DCSB today for 30k and some cents. Navi, black/orange stitch interior, stealth running boards, 3m armor, all weather mats, and maybe another thing or two. Also made them include the wrap warranty to 100k, and 4 year service as well. The dealership on its own also includes a lifetime powertrain warranty as well. I think i was 6k under msrp. I'm sure there are people who did better than me but I'm happy.

You were only told you got it for 'free'. Nothing is free and it was included in your price I can promise you that.
