    Beautiful work Marty!

Got weeds and trees whacked, until rain started. So much for the grilling tonight. I am hearing sleet or hail right now not sure which. Can hardly see the end of the driveway it is coming down so hard and I see a lot of leaves falling.

Slows down think I will make a run to the store for some "liquid" pain meds. Guess it is official and have arthritis in my hands now. Been going on for a couple of months and thought it would go away but damn... Getting old isn't for sissies.

    Evening Everyone !!:hattip:

Was out driving my Camaro earlier today and the idle was acting strange but it wasn't a concern . stopped at my local Oriellys auto parts to get some car wax and some other items

As I walked in front of my Camaro I noticed a oil leak on the intake near the distributor so as I was wiping the oil up I noticed the distributor was loose . I checked the lock nut on the distributor clamp and it was finger tight

I tightened it back up but it felt like it was stripped but tight enough to get back home . once I got back home i looked at it again and the distributor clamp stud was loose and yep it's stripped

After a few choice words I realize this can be fixed as the stud has already been repaired once and now oversize . So now my very nice "Rare" hard to find Winters Foundry snowflake date code 12-9-72 is now junk

Now I gotta pull the intake and buy a new intake and the Camaro will sit in the garage once again

    It's only money ......... Right !!!! :spending:

    Good Afternoon Folks.

Yeah Chuck it’s always something lol.
I had a 327 and the bolt that mounted the top bracket of the alternator to the intake would easily strip. I remember having to replace the intake a few times.

I'm going to try an easy fix if possible :fingerscrossed:

Knowing the stud or intake threads are stripped I'm going to try using JB weld on the stud . Hopefully this will lock the stud onto the damaged threaded hole

I've done something similar to another "Rare" Edelbrock TM-1 Scorpion sbc intake . This intake I stripped a carb stud hole and fixed it with JB Weld

These Vintage Winters Foundry Holley SBC Strip Dominator intakes are going for stupid $$$$ on Evil Bay right now . if I can repair the damaged threads I'll keep it and if not sell it !!!

I'm already oversized on that stud as it was repaired by the previous owner of this intake !! . The factory installed a 5/16th dia stud and now oversized after a repair at 3/8th dia . it would have to be opened up to 7/16th dia , I don't think there's enough material to open up any larger

This is the reason for using JB Weld to lock the stud in

Trying to talk my friend into giving me back my old Tunnel Ram !!! , this really worked well before when it had dual 660 cfm Holley Center squirters . I would need to put bigger carbs on like dual 750's
