Anyone interested in helping me turn a wrench next weekend? Sat or Sun, but Sun would be better. I need a hand to install an OME lift and a place with flat concrete for jacking the truck up and hopefully an air compressor to run an impact wrench.

You can come over to my place on Saturday if you want. @twheat40 will be over and we’ll be working on his solar but I can easily help with both at the same time. I have all tools necessary.

I need some help from those of you who are further advanced in guns and ammo than myself. I had a bunch of ammo under my back seats in a ziplock bag which leaked. It consists of 40, 45, and 380 rounds alot of it is self defense shit which wasnt cheap. It all got wet and muddy. I washed it off very quickly and dried it. It has been sitting out on the kitchen table since the flooding happened. My question is, will this ammo still fire or am I fucked on all this?

Since it was in water for a short time, it should be fine.

    Leave it in some rice.

For what its worth I'd still shoot it

If you have a laquered primer, you should be ok. If not, then there is a decent chance you will have a few duds. How long were they wet would be the biggest factor in that. Look at the primer and see if there is a colored coating on it. If so, you are probably ok.

BUT...... I would put it into the training ammo pile and replace it. 1, you should shoot your self defense ammo on a regular basis to rotate it and to be used to the recoil impulse which in some cases is different between practice ammo and self defense ammo.

Or instead of rice, get the crystal kitty litter. It is the same silica shit that dessicant packs are made from. Dump everything in there.
