Oh, if that's the case then I am just going to do the routine maintenance myself, keeping proper records. I already bought the oil filter socket and I have a vacuum extractor. It ain't hard to change air and pollen filters.

I waited for a solid hour at the dealer today and I am pretty sure I could have done those inspections in 10 minutes. I change the oil on my other cars in 20 minutes including cleanup.

It's pretty easy to get free oil changes for life around here. That's what I have, but that means you have to bring it to them and follow all the other recommend services too. You can't just get an oil change and nothing else that goes with the service...

It’s offered free with every new Toyota purchase. And I think with certified used Toyota’s but on that part I might be wrong. And all oil changes and tire rotations are covered. I guess it depends where y’all guys are from

In Canada, Toyota ECP (Extra Care Protection) comes in "Platinum" and "Gold" versions, and both can be had for up to 7 years. They are extra cost, and pricing depends on the term selected. Platinum covers more maintenance items.

I am pretty sure you need to sign up for one of these plans to get free oil changes, unless a dealer offers some other oil change plan as part of the purchase.

Me, I paid enough for my Taco to buy a fairly loaded F-150 with way more capability and features. But I do not have time to sit in dealerships while they fix all the BS issues my friends with F-150s have. Most salesmen who have sold multiple brands will tell you that Toyota customers are among the happiest customers. There is little reason to buy extended warranties, which is a bet that you will recover more than you paid for the warranty, in unexpected repairs.

Mine is 2018 with 11K kms only and already seen things... and more to come
Nothing around, all good trails are 3 hours away from you/us. If you want to start soft go to Ganaraska Forest in Campbellcroft, it's absolutely stock friendly and I think about $10 to enter.
