Just got a set of 245/75r16 Discoverer A/T3 4S to replace my old A/T3's. Love the look of them and they handle great just like the old model, just look more aggressive. I downsized from the 265/75r16 to the 245's to improve MPG.

Looks nice! Love the design... now to the next decision 4s or LT-C

I was set on the 4S to preserve pavement manners and smooth ride for the family while getting something more aggressive for fire roads and rocky stuff but looks like the LTs may not compromise much in that department and certainly do have the tougher look.... always a decision!

I paid $129 per tire for the 4S 245’s, $612 mounted and balanced out the door and there’s a $70 rebate through August 31st so that made the deal even sweeter!

Just placed my order with my local Discount Tire to get some 265/70r16s AT3 4S in this week. Will post up pics when I get them mounted (hopefully by this weekend). Decided to stick with the SL and stock tire size on my '17 OR with stock OR rims. I think the sidewall design is gonna look perfect against the blocky design of the stock wheels!

I was in the mountains this weekend and my stock Wranglers, while still have a bit of tread left after 30k are NOT hugging the road like they used to so I'm getting a lot more body roll that reduces confidence driving on tight mountain turns (and those same mountain turns are why I rarely get over 30k out of a 50k tire!)

I also asked my guy at the shop about the Falkens and he also admitted that while they love the design and traction NEW they are seeing a lot come back with balance issues and premature wear... which is killing wet weather traction early in the tires life.

Yeah I originally wanted the falkens and while they have solid reviews, they are still a cheaper tire and i feel like you get what you pay for with them.

My local shop has the 4S tires in stock. I got a 2WD PreRunner double cab. 95% street, 5% light off road. Don't tow anything heavy. Do I really need the C rated tires or am I ok with P? Also, I know there was a Cooper rebate that just ended. What are the chances of them doing another in the next month or so? Thanks!

Had a chance to get your 4S wet or off pavement yet? Mine are scheduled to be installed Friday

I was wrestling with this myself, but my driving is similar to yours. Maybe 10% off-road by time but I drive 300 miles round trip many weekends for mountain trips so I wanted something that handled really well on the highway, but was light enough to preserve MPGs, and a bit more aggressive than my stock Wranglers. I like the sidewalk design of the LTs better but ultimately I’m not gonna have more than 6000 lbs on them loaded up and what I tow is no more than 1-2000 max...

There is a rebate starting July 1st for $70 back on the 4S. I got my set from the local tire shop as well and they were nice enough to just give me a receipt dated July 1st to send in with my rebate paperwork since I bought them before the rebate started.

What load range did you get, and how do they ride/handle?
