Has anyone noticed a rattle under the bed, about waste high, just behind the cab, when shutting the doors. For 2 years I have just assumed it was my tool box but it isn't. Placing a hand on the inner fender well splash shield helps a little but the rattle is there between the bed side sheet metal and the frame on both sides just behind the cab. I will look into it tomorrow. The bed is tight and the tool box is tight. Never did any work there that would cause something to be loose. Maybe it's in every truck.

I drove an 18 wheeler for most of my adult life. Now that I'm retired I don't care if I never see another clutch.

 

Ron, the struts are post finished pics, the derping is pre-finished, had to stop working on the Taco for dinner. I'll take some pics tomorrow after she gets washed.

 

Could it be the cab vents on the back wall of the cab? I remember people saying theirs were loose and allowed a lot of noise to enter the cab. Or I dunno?
