My lines were part of a suspension kit - the big brakes were my idea :D

Got a killer deal on a new JVC stereo and speakers and decided the old taco needed some better tunes.

Napa has a bunch. I'd head down there and take the brake line you are going to use, and find one that fits - I mean, should be "easy" since you got the caliper there... hopefully.

Thanks! Yes, that's a good idea. I preferred buying from napa because of that - I can double check everything works before I leave the store lol.

Did you drain all your fluids? Dialectric grease may have been overkill, but why not eh? CRC electronic cleaner will do the trick.

A wire wheel bristle embedded in my cheek (below right eye). [safety goggles off for pict]

Another day, on the front end. Call me crazy & maybe it’s that I haven’t done brakes in ages, but Tacos front brakes have to be the easiest there are. :D

Burnt out a brand new wire wheel (while giving myself a good dose of arm & face accupuncture! :p But with the paint, these corroded up aluminum rims are looking better than the rear 2 I did the other day.

Oh, gotta laugh... my mom’s old scholl mechanic’s assistant. Asked her to help me bleed the lines (even though she bought me the “1 person bleeder kit” the other day) just to speed things up and she’s used to the “push... hold, push... hold... are you holding it? Now push it. Hold.... etc. Well, she’s pushing, and pushing, and pushing.... nothings happening. Finally, I’m like what are you pushing that’s squeaking so much. She was pushing the clutch in! :D

PS.... anyone know of a front end suspension/steering/etc., bushing KIT? New bolts would be great too. Everything on the front is OEM, but not opposed to aftermarket if its good with stock control arms, etc. Would perfer not to have to onsie/twosie order all of them. :)

Energy Suspension & Prothane makes em. Not sure if there's a complete kit though, never looked, ES might. Can also get stock aftermarket replacement bushings if you want to save some money. Check out RockAuto for various options.

I've never replaced my lower control arm bushing but I do have ES steering rack & sway bar bushings. Those made a huge difference & that was 13 yrs ago. I've been in a truck maintenance mission lately so I'm about to replace them again, just got the new ones yesterday.

Might as well do new ball joints too if your lifted and/or haven't done them in a while. The lowers I went with Moog since they have zerk fittings. Stock don't have zerk fittings & eventually one of mine died up & siezed, broke the cotter pin & nut came loose. Luckily I noticed it before something bad happened. I bought Moog uppers too cause they also have zerk fittings but I ended just getting uniballs/UCAs when i replaced my old coilovers a couple of weeks ago. Driver side stock ball joint was shot.

Funny, I'm about to do my brakes later this week also.

I scored some steel wheels from local internet classifieds and put my shell back on. I'm officially ready for summer & fall camping.

Solo gave me the ones I put in the picture - I think they're pretty long and I'll have to use them or another really long set. Paul said it should work, but I figured guys on here might know a little more about the small details since it's been done a lot of different ways.

    Oh right long travel. Duh.

My mcm kit lines came with bolts and I'd just reuse them on tundra brakes. Though that'll never happen

Travis (supercharged linked solo truck - can't remember his handle lol) said the same thing cuz he wanted 15" wheels - I'm assuming that's why you're saying that? Makes sense.
