according to ARB it increases your approach angle.
Even though it sticks out a bit more than factory, its higher up so they claim it helps.

    Basic overland stuff...
JD's guys at Midstate Toyota do an excellent job installing these bumpers.

In relation to approach angle. Really that didn't even cross my mind in a $40k daily driver weekend wheeler. I've ran a lot of bumpers on a lot of vehicles and the front bumper has never affected anything I've wheeled.

ARBs attention to detail and engineering is what sets them apart. Others make high quality products but there's just subtle differences with ARB.

The bumper allows you to access your winch as intended without having to contort your hand in crazy places. It has built in frame stiffness and it's amazing how much frame flex the front of these trucks have.

a dumb deer + good insurance = new ARB bumper = happy insurance company X ARB bumper is cheaper than OEM plastic explosive bumper + ARB protects truck better.

Who else is having a birch of a time keeping the pieces of original bumper to stay in place?

Looks like it's been rubbing. You either need to cut more, or lower the bumper. You need a pretty good gap between the bumper and the body. Your frame will twist quite a bit when you are flexing.

How much do these bumpers weigh? I haven’t been able to lock down a number.

Just looked up the Summit Series bumper on their website.. Looks to be about 170lbs with chassis mounts, bumper, and included fog lights. No winch.

Just got mine, looks like they updated the powder coating. Some have smooth, now rough. What a product to work with and install!

Did you move the OEM fogs to the bumper, or did you use ARB's fogs, or something else?
