I will still keep my 09 Tacoma but I think my son will soon be using it to help get a small landscaping service off the ground. He has a seasonal job now where he is learning about grass maintenance, not cutting, and takes care of a few customers on the side. He keeps adding to his customer base every week.

    Small trailer! ???
When 2 or 3 of us went to Maine I towed a WWII army trailer behind the 4 Rnrs., handy little trailer to have.

Hope you still have the trailer. I am looking for one at a decent price. I am willing to refurbish the trailer.

    Evening all:
I still have the trailer Tom, looks like I don't get rid of too much , but I wish I still had the 42 Jeep!
They are around and I occasionally see one sitting here and there, usually in rough shape, but they are not that easy to find anymore.

I hear that Carl. The military surplus places want too much for them. I should have bought one back in the 70's when I did a lot of camping.

    Morning all!
Just got up a few minutes ago,it was nice to sleep in this morning.Hope you all are well and have a great weekend! I'm taking a break tomorrow from working on anything and going with a couple buddy's on a bike ride on a rail trail in Virginia.l think the plan is to ride from Abington to Damscus which round trip is around 30 miles.lt does go another 10 miles or so to White Top,Va.Never have rode all the way,but l really want too try it.That part of the trail gets a grade to it so should be a good test of ability.Just got to push the other old farts to do it :) Not sure l can but ya got to try.....

Y'all have a great weekend and enjoy!

    2018 INFERNO TRDOR gone
When I turned 66 this year I decided to reward myself lol. I always thought the Tacomas looked pretty good so I went looking. I really liked the inferno color and wanted a 4wd off road crew. Used Tacos out here in Colorado and Arizona are stupid priced so I looked at new. $36 and change for a loaded one. The day I went to pull the trigger, there was a 17 just like I wanted they just took in trade so I asked the price. $1500 less than a brand new one so I left with the brand new one. Step son was needing a better truck and really like Tacomas so we went shopping again. 10-12K for over 200K miles? Pass. Went down to Phoenix area where he lives and found a pristine Prerunner OR crew 2009 with 133K on the clock for 15K and change. Resale on these out here is just amazing. I have seen 1, 2, and 3 year old TRDOR crews for more than I paid for mine new. I am on my 3rd Corolla company car (2018) and can't fault the car so I guess they have something good going on.

I'd hate to deal with a trailer some of the places I go. Just thinking something I could sleep in would be convenient, but then why not get a cap or camper? We'll see, need more imcome to kick in.

Had a great riding day yesterday. But it didn't start out very well.l left my house at 630 in the pouring rain going to meet the others.lt rained for about an hour then finally tapered off.We stayed dry for the most part except for parts of the trail were mud.My two friends and l were covered by the end of the ride.
But we ended up having a great ride.3hrs 37min covering 31.62 miles.Rest today..

Sounds like snowmobiling out west here. Ride a good part of the day, under 30 miles ridden.

    Really,,,
Was one of the best for me.
It got hit 6 months into ownership.
    Repaired. Repainted.
The only major thing that was needed was a trans overhaul I did because it was driven around town exclusively and wore out second gear clutch pack.
Was handed down to my boy.
Then after we all got new vehicles put it on the race track.
It died a very respectable death...
It could have gone on longer but it lived a full life.
Should have kept it and put a tube chassis in it and raced it at the strip.

It could scoot for 96hp and the 5 speed MT was really fun to drive when it ran and wasn't blowing carbon monoxide through the vents into the passenger cabin.
