    4010, 4000, 4020, 4320, 4520, 4620, 4030, 4230, 4430, 4630, 4040, 4240, 4440, etc are 4000 series, not 40 series...40's are the tractors that models end in 40 (final 2 digits).

4000 serie was built from 1961 thru 1994. 40's (Iron Horse models) were 1978 thru 1982 only.

    I've owned 20's, 30's , 40's, and a 55...

    Still own a 4020 a 4430 a 4440 and a 4455. (+ a 2440)

I Ran a restoration buisiness for years. Specialized in Deere "New Gen" (61 thru 94) also grew up across the street from what was one of the highest grossing Deere dealersips in the midwest during the 60s.

Thanks for the info never was the wisest on the Deere models. On the farm we had we only had a 720, 2 bs and a 4020 rest were Ford's and case. Still have the 720 n the case 1055. The 4020 my brother has.

We had one of everything until dad's business started thriving. Then it was Green & Yellow!

Ford, Massey (Harris and Ferguson) Case, Oliver, Allis, and a Moline. Success hit mid 60's and the good stuff started happening! We still own the farm but lease it to a full time farmer. I kept the equipment for now. Next generation in the family has no interest. It'll get sold someday.

Tons of 4440's & 4240's up here until Versitile started to make an impact. Still see lotsa them on road construction too.

Went back to sleep. I woke to 156 meat temp and 245 smoker temp, adjusted it slightly, @ 235 now. I’m in the stall, not doing a Texas crutch.

That flashing looks like it should do the trick. I’ve never seen that type, we install something like this.

I found that type too....it's much heavier gauge metal. I may go that route due to our snow/ice conditions in winter.

The metal shop we use stocks them, they’ll also bend/solder anything you want and have it done the next day.

Versitile has always had a strong presence in the high horsepower 4wd market in wheat country. They bought some design rights from Ford/New Holland a few years ago and started making their name in the big 2wd tractor world. We have a farmer near us with Versitile and Buehler tractors. They stand out in the crowd of Deere and Case/IH.

Deere is gaining market share in construction, as if they needed to get bigger!

I found those heavy duty ones at a local lumber yard...both LH and RH versions. Very rugged!

Johnny Buehler sold part of the Biz. to the Russians. Think he just owns a small part of it now.
