Got and advertisement for a new 2018 SR5 if I trade my 17 SR5 in. Came home with a Barcelona red TRD sport. I’ll admit the little upgrades are nice. And even kept my long bed

Including the nice leer 180 with kayak rack they paid the 15 month 27,267 miles I had on it in full. Took the 2,000 from extended warranty and put towards the TRD. I was still on the fence till I drove it. Then saw the added features. That sold me. Loves the top cap. But wasn’t happy with the quality of it. I’ll get another for weekend camping trips but much more research this time. My payment went up $30 buck a month. But I love the red. I got it for 34,000 in Charlotte,NC

Back in 2016, I actually went to the Toyota dealer to buy a silver SR5, but when I saw the TRD Sport and compared features, it changed my mind. Haven’t looked back since.

I love how everyone on here judges other's financial decisions. OP if you can afford it and wanted to upgrade, good on you and who cares. I did similar had a 16 SR5 DCLB and realized I shouldn't have cheaped out and upgraded to a 17 TRD OR DCSB. Deals can be had, especially if you are in no rush to trade and can negotiate the right trade and price. They gave me $3k less than what I paid for the SR5 and got my 17 OR for $5k off sticker. Sure I threw away some equity and money from the previous truck, but I wasn't happy, it wasn't by any means a big loss to trade and I could afford to do so. You do you! Congrats on the new truck.

I did get Toyota lifetime drivetrain warranty with it also. Plus 3M window tint. I’m happy!

I don't think Toyota offers any kind of lifetime warranty, you may want to read the fine print as that sounds like a dealer warranty that will require you to do all of the maintenance there at that dealership
