Lift kit

I just want a 1 inch lift. Do they sell? What's a good brand? I don't want any crazy lift. Well 1 inch cause any problem on my truck? Thanks

 

whats the purpose of just 1"?

i mean, that wont even be noticeable or give you really much clearance at all.

chances are is not going to cause you any issues....

but frankly ide just do a body lift if thats all the lift i wanted

 

bilstein 5100’s are adjustable. Get an AAL for the rear

i think the important thing is to figure out what you want.....and why you want it.

if you are lifting to fit tires....or are you lifting just to lift (and thats fine too)

do you plan for it to be a daily driver with mild off road use......or plan to do some serious off roading?

 

@M-cameron i don't want to run into any kind of problems. Just want something that will feel like a ride stock. I'm also just going to ride on my stock wheels. Maybe a little bigger tires in the future. That's all.

I just want a lift. No off roading. Just daily driving. And where I live it snows a lot.

 

you can always fit larger tires on the stock suspension....and that will give you a little bit of a "lift".....

any time you lift, you always run the risk of needing to replace the CV carrier bearing....thats about the only real problem youll have.

a body lift will give you a slight bump for larger tires, and keep the ride stock

i dont know of anyone that makes a 1" spacer lift for the front, so coilovers would be the route youd have to take for that.


personally ide start with wheels and tires first, and see how you like the look without lifting, then lift afterwards

Also u mention a body lift? What is a body lift?

 

instead of lifting the suspension....if lifts the cab off the frame.

they are good for small lifts around 1" to get enough clearance for larger tires......i wouldnt body lift more than that though or they look goofy

thatll give you the lifted look, but leave your factory suspension in place....plus they have the added benefit of being much cheaper.

They do make a 1/2" top plate spacer, which will get you a 1" lift. I wouldn't do it on my truck. 5100's are cheap enough to do instead.

I'm at 1-1/2" front and 2" back 15TRD Pro suspension. I did diff drop and have no problems at all. CV angles stayed same as before lift, also did carrier bear drop, because of add 2" lift in back. A lot of people bash on diff drop, say it does nothing. Not my experience, like mention everything stay in factory spec's with it, and NO Problems.

If you do 5100's and you mention it snow a lot in your area. Treat them with clear, or SharkHide. Salt makes them corrode fast.

I wouldn't mind just giving the front a 1inch lift. Cause if u look. The truck front it is slightly lower than the rear.

 

its supposed to be, all trucks have a rake to them, so when you load up the bed, it sits level.

popping it up 1" in the front will make the truck sit level......but it will also squat in the rear if you load up the bed with anything significantly heavy
