i mean, if you cant install a body lift....you have no business modding trucks......a buddy, a six pack, and some basic hand tools can have it installed in weekened afternoon.

really the same as any lift.

• possible issues with the CV bearing
• might need to reloacate swaybar
• might need a diff drop
• might need a carrier bearing drop.
• depending on how you lift you might need to space your bump stops.

all are very easy to due, except the CV bearing.....and might not even be necessary depending on your truck.

its all a bunch of trivial little stuff......just take your time an research your lift and itll all be pretty easy.

 

Plenty of people don't have the tools, skills, time, etc to work on their own vehicles.

 

Just buy a half inch spacer lift for $60 and be done with it. Just don’t get a fat bobs garage one. Those look like some 9 year old kid made them.

 

I did a 1” lift on mine and the difference was DEFINITELY noticeable. Sometimes it looks like it’s more than 1” too. I’ve had mine for about 10k miles now, zero issues.
The before and after picture are a little crappy, but I don’t have a lot of before pictures. First picture is the day it rolled off the lot, to some recent pictures. Kind of hard me to believe it’s the same truck sometimes, and how much better it looks now

 

Taking off that front air dam actually does a lot to make the truck look taller....

1” all around, Bilstein 5100’s on all four corners with stock coils upfront. Front shocks were set at the 3rd notch (1.1”) and I first had a block in the rear but have recently switched to an AAL which gave me a stiffer ride. The ride with the block was a little too bouncy and it would sag too much when loaded with 300+lbs of cargo in the bed. One thing I do plan on doing is changing the coils up front. When I have a full loaded truck it sags quite a bit to where my tires rub at ~85% turn. Then I run into the issue of the coils lifting too much which I don’t want because I don’t want all the issues that come with altering the dynamics of the truck by 2”. It’s a win-lose situation - first world problems.

Losing the airdam and swapping tires and wheels makes a bigger difference I think.

I’m still sitting on a 3” lift with stock tires and it still looks pretty stock.

 

I did the following:

3rd Gen 5100s all around
OME 884 springs
HS 1/4" spacer on the driver front for lean mitigation
Rogue 1-1/2" AAL

Haha they are super bald but still do ok. Running the tread out before getting new 35s

 

I was going to say I hope you’re not doing any off roading in those haha. Should look nice with 35’s!
