    ALCON,

    Note:
    1. HAI Cable Harness ($65.00) can be stand alone (work alone), this cable uses A/V option in HU to let user input: camera signal (front, left, right, or top rear) / Smartphone mirroring / Multi Media player to the Head Unit. Also user can use built-in switch to Override Speed Detection (which allow user input address, numeric dial pad...etc ..meaning user can use all options in HU same as when the truck is not moving). User can install an On/Off switch to built-in wires in Hai Cable Harness for "Anytime Camera.
    2. Add-On cable Harness ($70.00) required (must have HAI Cable Harness installed) to have Hai cable harness installed together. Add-On cable harness will not works WITHOUT Hai Cable Harness. This Add-On cable Harness will let user to input Front (or any place) Camera signal into this Add-On cable harness. Upon selected Front/Rear Camera signal, the HU will displays camera video and music still keep playing.
    3. If you installed all cables (Hai + Add-On Cable Harness together), you will have all features as mentioned in step 1 and step 2.
My apologies for any confusion that I posted before.

Thanks @mytacotruckisnice and @novel to pointed out my bad.

    Hoangde,

Assuming one had your HAI and add-on cable for a front camera, what would one need to do to have the video from each camera stored on a local drive? I'm guessing I'd need a signal splitter, some kind of encoding device, and a hard drive?

    Thanks!

Anything is possible. You definitely need a video signal splitter and a recorder such as below.

Got mine installed today. Super easy, the hardest part was making a hole for the backup cam switch which is completely unrelated to the cable! Neat how easy it was to hookup and how well it worked right away.

I also have the issue where GPS isn't updating with the switch on but I'm just going to leave it like others suggested and see if it figures it out at some point. If not I found that it updated immediately when I switch it off so I can easily just use it as an "input destination" switch, but we'll see!

I’m looking at the Nav override, add a front camera and select front and back camera anytime. Not really looking to add another video source. Is this cable all I need?

How many switches would I need to make everything work correctly?

One switch and Hai cable harness is what you wanted. With Hai cable harness, Camera input via A/V menu.

With both cables (Hai + Add-On cable), you will needed 2 switches (one for each cable), Camera input can be either cable. The whole purpose of Add-On cable is if you have Camera input via Add-On cable and view Camera while music still playing.

Ok thanks. So what would be my total investment?

Does $70 cover the hai harnessnplus the add on cable?

I would rather have type switches but since I have the premium technology package, I’m out of room. I saw that one member here installed 3 switches in the cubby above the auto high beam and power wattage selector switches on the drivers side. It looked clean and like it was from the factory. Does someone make a switch holder that slips into the cubby?

    Sorry, the set is sold.
I can build cable for you and ship out on Tuesday if you wanted. For the paypal, see :
