I'm thinking about just going up in size. They are actually cheeper then the 265/75 16's (BFG KO2's). I only work 10 miles away from work (highway), so gas milage is not that big of a deal.

I really want to keep the best ride quality as possible (smooth and quiet). I don't do crazy off roading, but its fun to take out the boys and show them what the Off Road can do (without going nuts). It's more for the looks. She mainly hauls mulch and kids to baseball practice.

I know all ya'll are going to say 5100's and such but...

Secretly I'm hoping someone says there is a good set of front spacers and rear blocks that will work great for me and what I'm going to be doing.

    Thanks, Mike

    none.
can fit with no lift with the right amount of
    :sawzall::welder: and big fuckin hammer

the thing is you say you want the best ride quality, well those tires are going to ride like absolute shit and a block/spacer lift will just add to riding like shit.
Since you're going with KO2 those are only available in E rated I believe once you get to that size and they will ride like crap.

If you want the best ride quality with lift on a budget then ya 5100 are likely your best bet.

But if you just want a 33" tire why not just get a 255 85 16 which will fit as is no cutting or trimming involved other than maybe a little bit of plastic and the mud flaps.

Even with lift you'll still be cutting for a 285 by the way

Incorrect. I run a 285 with no issues on a 3 inch lift

285’s on 2.75 5100/888, SPC UCA, and 5160 rears. No cutting or cmc. Alignment tuning helped a lot. Absorbs larges bumps beautifully. I’m sure guys who are on kings or fox suspension are riding on clouds on fucked up roadways.

You got lucky with alignment. Most need to cut. Wheel spec plays a role as well.

Mine needed lots of cutting to not rub throw entire wheel movement

Still feel the rear but ya front I feel nothing.

I had to do a lot of trimming and beat the pinch weld to fit mine

I agree with @Clearwater Bill on this one. 255s are so damn trouble free, and they still look great. The wider the tire, the bigger the headache. While the options for 255s are limited, the cooper st maxx are an option and are a great all around tire.

Why 285/75 17s instead of 285/70 17s? you can get C load range in tires with the 70s which will save you a lot of unsprung weight which will mean a better ride.

285/75/16 won’t fit exactly as some have implied here. There are a lot of factors at play to include alignment, backspace and wheel offset.

Those wheels might not rub in a straight line but hitting bumps, full stuff and turned or full lock in reverse they will likely rub at some point.

99% of people have to do some type of trimming even in only minor.

And those that say no rub are referring to no compression.

Unless you limit up travel to be next to nothing and don't go over bumps while turned its nearly impossible to not have any rubbing at all. At least the fender liner.

The km3 will be in the 16 and 17” wheel 255 variations - it could be a pretty good looking option for you.

Front spacers, rear blocks, and 1.25" spidertrax spacers. Should be fine.

3 inch Pro Comp Nitro lift. Pro Comp at sport 285/70/17's with Bronze 17 inch Fuel Anzas
I am running 285/70/17's with a 3 inch Nitro Pro Comp lift. It rides fantastic with no issues. If you are not doing any serious off road stuff why spend the money.
