Still down for the DS party, but not sure if my Dad responsibilities will allow me the time. ( My wife finds it very tough to manage the 3.5yr old, and 8 month old at the same time, for long periods of time, sucks for now, but I know it will get better later once they get a bit older ) That being said, if you don't mind me dropping in and out of the install I can certainly do that, My Driveway's available, and so are my tools. We can mash this out via PM

anyone know of any "Water Tight" connectors for 10 j- 12 AWG? I already have the cheap one's from amazon, but they are for 14 - 20 awg. I'm smack dab in the middle of my light bar install ( slow going ) and I'd like to put a connector on the pigtal from the light, but the wire is 12 awg. for now, I can crimp the connectors, but for the future, I'd like to have some handy so I don't have to re-do my connections.

    ***Edit***
after searching for weeks, I think I found something that will work.
    MC4 connectors
They appear to be pretty common in solar panel hookup's. my only minor Gripe is that they appear to be a long connector. not a nice short one, and they are individual. Meaning on connector per wire, nothing fancy like a 4 pronged connector ( was hopeing to find a 4/5/6 pronged connector that accepts 10agw wire for if/when I get off my butt and do a proper separate fuse box ) This would work, but each wire would be its own Connector.

anyhow, I found them on Amazon, but haven't pulled the trigger, waiting to see if anyone hear has anything better / different. Dosen't have to be water "proof" just resistant

You can get little connector packs at parts for trucks. I've used them for a bunch of shit over the years.

I'll check them out, along with Jentronics, I just remembered them when thinking about PFT. Jentronics always has lots of interesting goodies on the shelves.

Poor taco is suffering from a pretty mean dead miss. Comes and goes... consistantly getting P0302. Swapped #1 and #2 coils, next time it throws a code I'll know whether or not it's the coil or something else!

It misfired a bit when I left for work this morning but it didn't throw any codes. I have to wait til it tosses another code before I can move any further.

When was the last time you changed the spark plugs? I had mine changed and had a weird stutter/turned out to be a missfire when under load (ie: going up a hill in 6th, when I should be in 4th) It never threw any codes and only happened intermittently. It turned out that one of the spark plugs had a crack in the porcelain casing causing the issue. Just a possible thing to check out if the coil swap points to the same cylinder.

Went on a completely random adventure today.

I left a friends house in Gays River; East of Shubenacadie, after helping him around his property (the one I have been helping mill lumber)
I drove a pretty random route with nice roads, nice scenery, neat old farms. I eventually went down an old gravel road and followed that for quiet some time until I seen a offshoot trail. Followed the trail and ended at a little spot in the woods:

There was a small clearing with a stump as the burn pit right next to a swamp created by some beavers. I poked around and found an old beaten path that led to a lake that was connected to the swamp. Nice little spot for some wicked fishing I would imagine.

I started this ritual of whenever I stop and scope out a future camp spot, I will go around and collect all the garbage within sight. I filled 1/2 a garbage bag at this one little spot. Won't create world peace but will keep our backwoods clean one site at a time!

Nice find. I love poking around in the woods. Haven't done much since I got my taco, but it's only been a few weeks. Hunting season is gonna be awesome though. All those spots I chickened out before, no problem. :)

Looks good with dirt on it.

I changed them last awhile ago, they're due for sure. Because when and how it misfires, it makes me think it's a coil/injector/stuck lifter.

It started out as only after the truck was sitting for a bit warm, then on cold starts, that said. I left for work this morning. No misfire. Then stopped at Tim's no misfire. Stopped for gas no misfire. Something odd is going on!

Daughter is graduating today, so have a grad dinner to go to. I should be free by 9. So, do you guys meet inside? I have no clue how to identify you guys if you're not sitting in your trucks, lol.

its pretty easy, we usually start inside then eventually move outside. we try to park the trucks together, just park next to us and we'll keep an eye out. also I'll wear a plain black baseball hat, that should help.

if I get my act together, I *just*might* have the switch connected to my hidden light bar...
