My 8100 rears that i ordered from Rca two weeks ago are arriving today. I would imagine yours are due to ship as Bilstein has 12 more sets in stocks.

The rears just arrived. I am now complete :amen:. Although can't install until the week of the 18th because of vacation . I was curious if you adjusted your front coilovers or did you install what they came pre-set at? I am putting this setup on my 18 Pro which has a 1.5" spacer on right now to clear my 285/75/16's. Also running a 1.25" AAL, but looking at the Deavers as well.
    Thanks.

A regear makes a world of a difference once you experience it.

Yeah, shop adjusted coilovers to max out the lift at 2”... I’m tall so honestly just wanted a little more height getting in :)

Finally got mine installed. Also installed Icon RXT rear springs and SPC UCA's. Took my nephew and I about 7 hours to install. I installed the front to the highest setting recommended by Bilstein. So far I really like the ride. I am going to head for the mountains next weekend and really try them out

Out of curiosity what setting do you have the rxt springs at? I've been running the 8112/8100s since before they were released one turn below the highest setting and paired with a icon mini pack, however I'm about to swap the spring packs out for rxt leafs with txt hydro bumps and swap to 650lb eibach coils in the front to compensate for bumper weight and crank them up to the highest setting. You do any great degree of shim with the rxt springs? Thanks.

I have the RXT springs at the lowest setting right now. As I add weight I figure I will need to add the other spring.

Sorry, didn't see this until now. I don't recall exactly- Jeff, maybe. But you probably already have purchased. If so, did they bolt straight up and how do you like them?

@BlownOutTaco @Rowan11b @Liftit74 @Cakewalk- How do you like your 8112/8100? My use is for carrying photo gear in the bed for road and offroad travel. The stock suspension is great in my opinion for normal daily driving, but speed bumps are a bit abrupt so I can only imagine how offroad whoops would feel.

Love em! Working great so far. Bolted in perfectly. Shop that did the install said they were impressed by the quality of the shocks and mounting hardware. No issues.

Only slight suspension misfire may have been going too heavy on the leaf packs. Went U402 stage 1 but don’t spend nearly enough time loaded up to warrant the extra beef. When I’ve got ~500lbs in the bed they feel spot on, but that’s pretty rare for me.

So I went and tried out the Bilstein's this weekend. I came away really impressed. The road is very rocky and usually about an hour long but I was able to do in about 45 minutes. I also came away very impressed with the Icon leaf springs.

Regarding regearing. The shop is right about the fewer tooth count on lower gears. But wrong about failure. When you are under geared you use the skinny pedal alot, just to keep momentum and not stall (manual). If you are an auto you lug the engine offroad, leading to premature wear in other components. I also don't think a couple teeth makes that big of a difference. The axle will only hold so much and I don't think the R&P is the weakest link. In the front axle, for instance, the CVs are by far weaker than the front diff components.
