I love the desert heat just the humidity is what makes it unbearable to me. You outta get remote start so it’s cool when you get in the truck. I plan to eventually

 

Man me too. I don’t have a covered or garage spot for BP anymore and like to let the engine warm up and inside cool down before I head out.

 

Man that sucks I have a garage but alas I have to park outside wife gets to park inside. I’ve never had that privilege.

 

I'm really considering a remote start as the Runner barely fits in the garage but even so the Cadillac and the 1st gen stay indoors while everything else cooks in the driveway.

 

Remote start would be nice, I'd have to find a work around for the clutch switch. Tint is next up on the mod list. Tint then skids...

 

Where you out getting the tint done? I want the ceramic front, max dark for front doors, and probably 15% in the back

 

The one joy of having a auto. I’ve been kicking around the idea of getting ceramic tint but remote start would be better I think. There’s a local shop quoted me 300 installed when I first got it. They did all my previous ones.

Ben has this on his Tacoma. Was jealous when he first got it and told me about it. Definitely nice to have here in Texas during the summer.

 

Vehicles in the past I've taken to Mother's so that is probably where I'll get it done at. Only because they are the only Huper Optik dealer in Austin. I'd recommend John at the South Austin one because the North Austin location has a new guy up front and he doesn't hook it up. They'll do 30% on the fronts. That's what I had on the WRX and it's pretty dark with 5% out back.

$600 for Huper on the doors, back glass and windshield at Mother's South. The guy up north wanted to charge me $750...

There is also Sun Tint up north on Koenig that quoted me $500 for SolarGard ceramic all the way around including windshield.

 

I need to try these. They look so juicy and flavorful.

 

SunTint does really good work. I used them commercially for side lite filming and have had several of my vehicles done. Also very good on warranty claims if something happens to the tint. I have ceramic on my Tacoma on each piece of glass. Makes a huge difference especially when you get the front done.

 

300 is a deal! Remote start would also be nice to have during the winter.

Yes it is, I do believe our trucks need a ignition bypass module it may cost a little more. It’s in the to-do list that grows by the day.

I agree on their work, we've taken several of our fleet vehicles there and they get em done pretty quick. I was sold on the windshield tint after I rode in my cousins car with it.

 

I know! I just found a discount code on TW for the black morimoto led fog lamps I've been wanting to complete the front end black out.
