Not a big fan of RC shocks, but what do you guys think of this Tacoma? Love the low mileage. Would be adding sliders and changing shocks for Bilsteins or Icons.

What do you think about the price?

The grandson of the guy that owns the one in Hemingway did one here... it’s horrible. Like Golden Corral awful.

 

I really like home team, I think my favorite was Moose’s in Summerville but it closed years ago

 

Price seems fair for a dealership. Tell them to knock it down some for you having to deal with the RC lift, though.

Agreed on the RC lift. Hate that I will just have to rip it out but I have not liked any of the ones I have seen or ridden in. Not sure why you would not pay a little more to get Bilsteins.

 

As I was telling @caterpilllartacoma this weekend, don't do the reiterating lift.. You'll spend less money figuring out your end goal and buy once cry once.

I question the TRD Off Road package the seller is advertising. It is badged SR5 and I don't know if SR5 ever paired with TRD on the 2nd gen.

 

I sent an email questioning as well - requested a video showing the inside of the truck and the locking rear diff button as well as any original purchase info he had.

 

every TRD is an SR5 but not vice versa, sr5 option package, plus a TRD option package

Take a look at the tires. No idea on the mileage of the tires, but they are the older style BGF KO. Check the date of manufacture- its a four digit number such as 1346.

First two digits are year of manufacture, second two are week of the year, (or vise versa...)

 

Won't be offering if its not actually an off-road! If I wasn't buying an off-road I would just buy a 4x4 frontier. There is one with 80,000 miles I can get for $10k.

 

Before 2009 i believe toyota still badged TRD OR/Sport trucks with the SR5 badging. My 2008 TRD Off-Road has the V6 and SR5 badging on the tailgate

 

Got it! I was fuzzy about that part. Should still be easy enough to tell by the pushy things on the dash.
