I’ve been looking for an inexpensive tonneau cover since I bought my taco back in April, and I decided to get a Tyger Auto ToPro roll-up tonneau (TG-BC1T9044) for my 2017 SR DCSB based on the good reviews here for the folding version and the good reviews on Amazon. I didn’t see much for reviews on the roll up version so I figured I might as well post one up.

Here’s what I bought, $190 shipped to Alaska!

    https://www.amazon.com/Tyger-Auto-TG-BC1T9044-2016-2018-Fleetside/dp/B01M0L5IVL

It only took a few days to ship which is always nice and came well packed. 5BE8BC55-5AB3-4827-95CD-BAACCB473349.jpgF0DD9BDC-85CA-486F-9E8F-547784D948BE.jpg

The storage bag is a nice touch but I doubt I’ll ever use it. :)

I had a little trouble figuring out where the rails connect to the header piece but a couple minutes of wiggling got them to line up. 3333FA35-B26D-41E3-85E4-D3791E33D07A.jpg

A little finessing to get everything lined up and it’s on. Super super easy installation!

Hopefully I’ll see a mpg boost tomorrow on my run to Denali national Park for work. The real test will be seeing how it works when it hits -20F and colder again this winter. The material feels good and looks nice, seems like it’ll be durable enough too. Overall I’m pretty pleased.

    Thanks for reading!

Thanks for posting. One question ... does the latching at the rear work well (reasonably secure, easy to use) and how far do you have to open the tailgate to reach in and unlatch it, do you nltach it on one side or both? I am thinking to use it with a hitch bike rack, which only allows opening the tailgate a few inches at the top without tilting the rack down. Thanks.

You only have to grab the cable inside to unlatch it on one side. Whether or not you can reach it with the tailgate cracked is a function of how skinny your arms are and how you center the cover I’d imagine.

To share a question from the other post and more pics:

No issues with noise, nothing I can hear over the road and wind noise anyway. It does flutter a little but nothing terrible.

More pics of it rolled up:

Doesn’t block the rear window at all:

Why I got one of these over a tri fold:

Thanks for the review. I have been eyeing this cover. Do you lose access to the rail system tie downs with this cover when it is rolled up? Or are you able to use those? Only thing keeping me from buying.

I don’t see any reason why you couldn’t use the rail system for other accessories as long as they don’t interfere with the clamps or stick above the cover’s Velcro rails. I haven’t tried my tie down cleats however.

Im just wondering if you can attach the cleats to the rails while the cover is rolled up. Like would the rail for the cover be in the way? I have no issue removing the cleats when i am going to have the cover "covering" and reattaching them when needed and cover is rolled up. Any chance you could try attaching one?

    got mine yesterday.
    looks good.

had to do some aluminum bracket mod/grinding for it to properly clamp the tonneau rails to the bed rails. they were way too loose

Do you have something non-stock there? Seems strange.. mine clamped perfectly.
