This weekend, my little brother and I installed 5100's w/887 springs and Dakar pack. TRD matte gray wheels with Falken Wildpeak A/T3W 285/70/17. Immediately noticed the improvement in ride quality with this new setup. However, the rear is sitting a bit high, but hopfully that'll settle out. I put 100lbs of bagged sand in the back to smooth the ride out until they break in a little.

Looks perfect to me. I prefer the OEM rake for towing/hauling. Not sure why level is preferred. As soon as you tow/haul then you have the Bro lean and a dangerous setup. Also improves the aerodynamics = little better MPGs.

I'll say it again, Looks Great To Me!

Thanks man, I'm pretty pumped on it! I definitively wanted rake and I agree it looks good and is practical. I'll be adding a cap at some point and with a full load of gear, I may end up having to put in the extra leaf to make them heavy duty.

Did mine this weekend too and totally agree about the brake lines being the worst part. Couldn't get the upper right hand line to loosen and was really concerned about stripping the nut. Ended up gently pulling the metal line through the bracket to get a better view of the nut and also gently used needle nose vice grips to secure it while breaking it loose by clamping and turning the hose.

I don't suppose you have info on where I or how I can get this installed? My wife has this on her car and sometimes I forget I don't and start yanking on my passenger door waiting for it to open. I would love to add this to my truck.

I just noticed this on my hood this weekend. Wonder if this is a design flaw.

Yeah the upper ones were a bitch. The best way I found for the forward most one was to actually go from the outside and look underneath the frame rail. I could get a wrench on it there. Also keeping the clips on while you loosen, then taking them off after it's disconnected seemed to work for me.

The 5100 have an extra 2" (I think) of droop compared to the stock shocks. So if you don't extend the rear brake lines then at full droop you could be really pulling on them. Since I was already going to have to bleed them for the rears I decided to upgrade the fronts to stainless lines at the same time.
