Looked at a chigger map, and we don't have them in new England.

We have another pest locally called chiggers.
When we dig clams in waist deep water ,you stir up the mud.
If you're standing down-current of the mud, you'll get snail larvae drilling holes in exposed skin.
Looks like you got hit with a shotgun and itches for a day, and gone as quickly.

Not true chiggers like you guys have, but annoying as anything.

I'm used to using regular RTV Sealant and the ease of removing parts but this last time I used "Right Stuff " sealant . I've heard horror stories saying it's like trying to break the seal like when using Super glue

But yes ive got pry bars , putty knifes and couple of BFH's

Cat told me they could get it around $3k if I took the evaporator to someone else to flush it out because they would have to send it out anyway. So maybe you could do the same?

    90k miles?
I’d get another car,if it was my wife’s car. I can figure out most stuff but we try and keep her in a vehicle that’s sound.
She had a Nissan Xterra that I swear started breaking down as soon as it hit 100k. She’s been on Toyota’s ever since.
She averages 32-35 mpg or more here in hill country. Better when flat lining to the coast.

Boxes under seats in access cab are pretty much full. Glove compartment is mostly empty and this is my consol organizer

A friend at work has a Prius much older than 2013 he doesn’t want to replace. They sound like they get pricey to keep running!

I wanted wife to get an access cab tacoma with a shell. Since we live in deer country. She’s gambling and so far has only been close calls. So the corolla has a good “get up and go” not as good mpg as Prius but better than tacoma

Knock on wood my tacoma is an 07 with less than 80k
I’d puke if I had to shell out that much for air conditioning

Thanks for asking, he is feeling the pain and learning what it is like to deal with it. I don't have a lot of sympathy.
