Kansas farm boy, relocated to Albuquerque, NM. The climate suits me, and it is a motorcyclist's paradise with all the twisties!

Couple weeks ago I found a 2003 Tacoma on Denver c/l, flew up there and drove it home. The truck has 56,000 original miles on it. Yes, I JUMPED ON IT!! It's everything the photos and what the owner described, very nice little truck. It came with a nice color-matched topper, and a color-match roll pan to replace the rear bumper. I'm still undecided on what I'll do with those.

Tacoma again... I bought a Tacoma new in 2003, same color, same everything. But I had bad luck with that truck, and it kinda made me superstitious, or something. First, I got hit by a guy who was on his cell phone: I saw him run the red light and tried to avoid it, but he drove right into me. Then later some punk kids vandalized the truck. When they couldn't defeat the ignition lock, they drilled holes all over the interior. It just wasn't the same.

This new (to me) Tacoma is just like my first one, I hope to have better luck with it!

I have a perfectly good 2001 GMC 1500 Sierra, V6, automatic. I HATE automatics! I'm letting it go because it's an automatic, no other reason. I'm thinking of using a signature line for this forum like this, if permissible: ".... and it ain't no fookin' automatic!"

Thanks for all the likes and replies, gents!

Not much to report as of yet. I drove it home from Denver w/o plates and got by with it, waiting for the P.O. to send title when he gets it from CO. MVD.

Well, gee whiz, guys! Thanks for all the welcoming posts! Just heard from the P.O. yesterday, he now has the Colorado Title in hand, and is mailing it to me. He found the truck in Sioux Falls, SD, thought his wife could use it to haul kayaks and stuff (that's her big sport) but when he got it home.... you guessed her, Chester.... she didn't like it. So he immediately put the truck on the market, didn't bother to register it in CO. But in order to keep the paperwork clean for the MVD Nazis, he went ahead and registered the truck in CO anyhow before selling it to me. Are ya with me so far?

Yes yes, the obligatory photos: 03 Tacoma left.jpg

Wow! posting pix here is way easier than the motorcycle forums I'm on! Here's another of the engine bay:

Welp, that's my lil' Tacoma! I'll spend some good time searching around the forum before I start asking dumb questions, or start an oil thread or something! :annoyed:
