Looked familiar. Looks a lot more green as well. Must be nice to get precipitation.

    Anything for Lathrop State Park?

Not for wheeling. Just camping, fishing, swimming, and relaxing (sans the cell phone signal).

    You’ll get used to it...

I’ve got some from rim rocker over a year ago. Truck looks better dirty.

Just think of them as badges of honor. Or a reminder of fun trails

Great Pix! I saw your group at the mine, coming back down. Didn't know there was a meetup. Was short on gas and short on time. I was in the white Taco

I posted up on Bushducks but figured I’d leave a note here too. I ran Moon Gulch yesterday to the old mine shaft. If you’re planning to do a loop back to Gamble Gulch near Perigo via 417.1 then bring a chainsaw and plan to be there awhile. There’s a huge tree across the trail that needs to be cleared.

Ran Slaughterhouse yesterday. Didn't come across many people aside from a couple RZRs and one Cherokee playing in the mud at the trailhead by the road.

Haven’t heard of this, is this front range- ish or somewhere else? I like to poke around the old mine buildings.

Just south of Rollins Pass Rd, north/northeast of Apex, and west of Hwy 119 in Gilpin County.

Yes, this is part of the front range. The nearest “town” is Rollinsville, 5 miles south of Ned off highway 119. There’s a lot of mining history in the area. I have GPX tracks from Gaia if you’re interested.

Ooh, I might be interested in this. The wife and I like to explore a little around that area since it's fairly easy to get to from the house.

If you PM me your email I can forward my track to you from yesterday. Perigo has kind of a cool history. The guy who bought the town blew up most of the remaining structures with dynamite after Gilpin County tried to assess major taxes on the dilapidated, uninhabitable structures. The Perigo mine is the source of some of the most significant environmental pollution from mining in the US. You can see the copper colored run off on the left side of Gamble Gulch road as you head north.
