    What my plan is now is to let this primer completely dry, then try painting it. Essentially layering the paint so eventually the rubber is far underneath.

    Yea we have nothing but soy, corn, and potatoes on both sides of the road over here. I almost ran over a fawn a couple of days ago. This one was a doe. She got back up though and ran off... probably dead now though.
