So I have been researching the heck out of this after I realized my original coils are sagging more than an inch below stock.

I just bought the Wheeler's 5-pack for the rear, which will lift about 1.5" ( I have a cap and heavy rubber mat in the back, probably about ~200 lb constant load). Also have Bilstein 5100s on the rear.

I bought the front Billies thinking I could level it, but realize now I would need to crank them up to the top setting to get anywhere near level with my worn out coils, and I don't want to compromise ride quality like that. So now I am looking at OME 881s.

    So a few questions:

    1. Is the stock rake on this truck 1.5 inches? (note my truck spec in profile: I bought it used with 101K miles, so I have no reference). I saw this stated in a 2003 offroad article on an OME lift. I am using this for basing my lift and rake numbers.

    2. Despite what ARB claims on its OME spec sheets (must use OME struts on 881s), can I run the Bilstein 5100s on the lowest "zero lift" setting with the 881s? I think this will get me to about only 1 to .75 inch rake, which would be fine.

    3. If I wanted more lift in front after that to reduce rake, could I raise the Billies to the middle setting (which I still have not been able to confirm is 1 or 1.25 inches of lift?).

    4. If not, could I use OME 10MM spacers?

Thanks for any sound wisdom and experience you can provide.

The stock rake is about 1"

And you will be fine with running the 5100's and OME coils. It just wont ride as well as the OME shocks, bc they arent made for that coil. And If you want to go higher, you can set the 5100's to next notch(.85") But it will ride rougher...

Thanks, guys. I know this isn't an exact science, but this helps. An original design 1" rake makes this all work out better...

I'll stop agonizing and place my order now...

Hey, Will! Dude, I so don't know why I bothered with all the research. I just should have ordered your setup, but I am too picky and have to do everything the hard way. Everything. Maybe the visions of dollars flying out of my wallet slowed me down...

But at least I learned a lot in the process!

Hey, what the hell are you doing int his thread?!?!?! I had very precise questions. And I do homework. And I bother to punctuate.

Did I say "yo some 33 liek these wheels lift foit?" No, I did not.

And if I am going to pay a shop to install these coils, I don't want to go back and have them change it. What do I look like, a friggin' ATM?

You should probabaly set them on zero so you have a little rake, and then when it snows and your bed fills up, you won't suffer from Bro Lean:puke:

i punctuate! i just refuse to shift or use ' 's most of the time.

and im here because ive have been stalking everyone who joined in the group buy. still gathering knowledge before the big day.

and im not an atm either, although it feels that way now. im sooo over my initial budget. and also paying for front end install. hence the panic over the settings on my shocks.
