I used to be into RC as a youth. Had a BlackFoot, An RC10T. Back when $50 bucks was 1/2 a new truck and parts and bodies were cheap. $20 for a body.

$50 got a decent bike, too. I drop $50 on a tank of gas now.

That Blackfoot was also plastic bushings, 540 motor, mech esc, non dampened shocks....a lot has changed since the "good old days"... Look for a 2wd Slash or Stampede on Craigslist or FB marketplace. You can have plenty of fun for a reasonable price.

$50 is actually reasonable for that shell, being that it's not all Lexan, it comes with some plastic parts as well for the realism. Agreed though, RC is by no means cheap. Haha.

If you want a new eRevo body-that's $85 but it's painted. So, lexan or plastic, you'll need to bust out a couple ten'ers for paint and stuff...

I used a Honcho front with a bed from the Proline body set. Closest thing I could find at the time I made it.

Anyone seen the trucks that look like old tamiya bruisers? I am seriously considering one of these after seeing this review.

Well I have had a time this summer keeping the grass green. I finally got back to mowing after taking a week or two off to let it grow a bit instead of just bake and dry out in the sun. I noticed the west side of the house had some tall weeds between the yard and the patch of wildflower and went to weed eating it down. I discovered enough stones to begin what I am currently calling The Circle of HighCenter. The OG will get a good little testing ground while the ii has more power with 3s and taller tires with the xl tires to climb over much easier....

I'm slowly coming around to beating on the ii some now that I have the parts on it I want. Hopefully my scaler fab order comes soon for the front bumper and sliders

Also props to all the vloggers. I can't drive with one hand and film with another worth a damn.

I keep suggesting to Rochelle that we build her a car, I guess I should not bind my spektrum radio to every car I buy. Maybe I will grab her an HPI venture since that is what I really want to get next

I really want that but I just picked up 2 in the last month and ordered a third. 2 are gifts so maybe it's time I get one for me

And yes the hobby isn't cheap and $60 with shipping isn't cheap for just a body but it's a 1st gen dbl cab I had to try building my 1:1.
