Well when epic things like a cement third come flying in...I couldn't say no. Got to admit man, if I ever decided to test those waters cement is it. I bet it would hold scratches pretty decently too...

haha given my past, I dont blame you for thinking this.

haha yea, I've said "I am gonna keep xxx" but, for one reason or another, something comes up or I get tired of them.... this truck is here to stay.

hahaha well thanks man. It's definitely my favorite color Toyota has made (even more than my old inferno Tacoma) I love how it's different depending on what time of day you look at it.

and I was happy that they dropped the hideous "braces" looking grill for 2018 and put in a much better / more subtle grill.... I STILL might put the faux pro grill on, but who knows... we'll see where this build takes me

Do you think you would imitate some of your old inferno build? I think they did a better job on the grill as well, and cool that they made that color a non pro so others can appreciate it now.

I haven't even opened the packaging yet, so you'd be saving $5-$6 which isn't much, but it's something. If no one wants them I'll just install them but I'm pretty impartial to them at the moment

    edit: Drat

I put HID on my 3rd gen. Without a doubt they work EXCEPTIONALLY well. Best mod (or at least most useful) I ever did.

haha that's the idea.... gonna take this one a bit more slowly than my previous trucks

I'm not 100% sure... I know I'm going to do the c4fab lo pro bumper and the Smittybilt 10k winch w/ synthetic line.... I think I'm going to start mild and just level it and I want to toss some 265/75/16 All Terrains on there

I'm worried I would lose my mpgs if I went with heavy 285s and mud terrains

Considering the ultimate decision of your second gen...I bet you don't want to create another gas guzzler. Just need another Miata now unless you plan to dd this bad boy? Could really throw the kids through a loop and get some ray 10s on there.

It’s a great color, plus you got the best transmission. Kind of wish I would’ve gone that route. Congrats again.

Oh... An interesting tidbit about them... They initially come on VERY bright, then dim, then come back to bright. But I think that is normal for HIDs. (Or so someone told me)

But just the other day, around dusk, I switched them on, and the wife asked why I flashed the guy in front of me. It's very quick. a fraction of a sec on the first blast, then by 4 or 5 seconds, they have dimmed, then warmed up to full brightness.

I think it was LEDs because of the shape of the bulb. HID bulbs are similar to a halogen.

I have LED and like them. Way more consistent coverage which I prefer. No hot spot like @EatSleepTacos mentioned.
