Ok so here are a couple pics of my truck and the emblem Metalmiller did for me. I think it looks great, powder coating free, wife did itr were she works took about 5 hours. I think I might have her get the rear bumper done and do the color match grill to. Couple things done to my truck so far Access cover, thanks to TW. Shortened the mud flaps, looks like shit still, coming of soon. Have 5100's and AAL not done yet no time to do this yet. I am going to attempt it myself screw it. New to still get items, projector headlights, rear shocks match the front chrome when done, white light behind the emblem and bed lighting, found a deal for 8 led lights 40 bucks. This is to only name a few, have a whole list at work I want to do.
Here are the pics of my plain jane Tacoma.

It's an interesting emblem for sure. Which regiment (or whatever you call it in the US) does it represent? I was born in the UK so you'll have to forgive the ignorance.

On a side note, since the US is not directly under attack on the same scale as Britain, Belgium, France etc. were in WWII, I fail to see how US troops are dying for their country. While I whole-heartedly agree that the troops need support fom those at home, I don't see them dying for their country. They're at the mercy of money hungry leaders. Support our (and your) troops, both past and present, yes. But get caught up in the tales told by the people who lead them, no thanks.

Flame away, my opinion is stated. I expect to read the same old chestnuts of "wisdom".

By the way, I got caught up in the off-topic-ness... The badge ranks pretty high in originality, credit to you for that! Nice to see unique ideas.

bigmooze, to answer your question this is the seal for the department of the army. This is where the emblem design comes from.

I like it plus I work for the Department of the Army so I wanted to stick with that. Glad most others like it too. The powder coat my wife had the guys use where she works is a very close match to my truck too. I have way to many ideas now.
I kinda expected some to make fun of it as it is not perfect, close enough for me though.

I agree. But the thread above educated me. It's a shame you couldn't spend the time to do the same.

mxboy57, thanks for posting the emblem, now it's far easier to see where the OPs idea came from.

Americans didn't die for our country in WWII, what exactly do you know about Pearl Harbor, and all of the battles that occured in the war in the Pacific? And I believe myself and every other man in this forum would greatly disagree with any of those statements. We do not follow "tales being told" we follow an elected official who we voted into office that, with the approval of Congress can send troops to eliminate any clear and present dangers to our country. I also disagree that our troops are not dying for our country in Europe. Although the battle may not be on our soil, we are defending our allies and trying to protect the world from greater evils like, who were we fighting in WWII? Oh that's right, HITLER. You know the guy who wanted to take over the whole world and purify the land of Jews, gypsies, etc. Don't forget Mussolini in Italy and the North Africa Campaign. I am appalled at your statements about the sacrifices that Americans made to protect your countries and the world. Now please go to a bookstore and buy an American history book if that is truly how you feel.

I believe you have misread what I wrote. I did not say that US soldiers didn't die for thei country in WWII. I was comparing the loss of European lives as they fought the oppression of the Nazis, to the present situation with US soldiers fighting abroad in Iraq and Afghansistan. What I don't see is how the US (and other nations') soldiers are dying for THEIR countries today.
