My old man works just SW of Etown. Said they lost the back wall of their factory and an AC unit blew off the roof. Large industrial AC unit.

Warnings all around us earlier. But nothing more than a good thunderstorm here on the south side of Lexington.

Just a nice steady rain at the moment

He said he doesn't think anyone was hurt. I think they usually do a good job of rounding up the troops where he works when it gets nasty outside.

I must care a lot less, or the storms just really aren't that bad. Wind might blow, water might fall, and the lightning will strike, but it isn't that bad and mostly scattered.
Yesterday, just the 30 minute duration of my ride home, it did rain pretty good and hindered vision, but no so bad that anyone drove slower than 45 in a 55 zone.

I'm also biased after riding through hurricane Sandy about 15 miles from the NJ coast.

I didn't think the storms have been bad but I grew up in the Midwest. I don't miss frequent tornadoes and hail storms.

Thunder and lightning and rain aren't the parts that bother me...it's the chance of hail that I hate. Seen FAR too many vehicles over the years that look like golf balls from hail hits...and I just got my roof repainted...

You apparently didn't get what we got..... We had 2 confirmed tornado's, and a bunch of serious damage in this area, including two buildings that collapsed. 3"+ rain in less than 45 minutes....May not be the worst storm ever, but it was enough that over 25,000 spent the night without power in the Louisville area. 200+ miles can make a difference in weather....

Basketball legend, Bobby Knight was once quoted as saying "Everyone has a purpose, even if only to show others how not to act".

My neighbor called and left me a message. Said the trailer brakes on his new camper were acting "Kind of wierd. Very erratic" (Which also describes my neighbor BTW)

He left for work before I got home, but left he shop open, his truck still hooked to the camper....an told me to leave a note on his work bench if I found the problem.

Note says; " Don't hook trailer brake wire to turn signal wire on truck, left OR right".

I should have took it for a test drive just to see what happened.
