Tacoma ECU Tuning for 4.0L

yep. I run an oiled filter in my factory box with the secondary filter cut out.. light oil when cleaning.. and no problems.

 

Tried the K&N that came with the supercharger. P0101 came pretty shortly after. I put a dry filter on and didn’t experience the P0101 again after that.

I guess K&N put too much oil on it from the factory. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

 

Normally yes.

 

For those that use an Oiled filter (I did for years), after a good use of it, go wipe the inside of your throttle body and look at that nice smear of dust and oil on your finger, now imagine that going into your engine constantly.

Took a TW break for work and kids man. Currently balls deep replacing bolts and uniballs on the truck. Taking a break while a can of Kroil puts in work lol

Nah just been working alot and a 3 year old and 1 year old now. Truck's been down for like 3 months now, you can see in my build. Just got tired of alot of the drama and shit on here at some point and decided to take a break.

And we all got new radiators. They’re awesome.

I did see that. Gonna have to move up to that at some point. Pretty much just paying off debt currently before I dump money into upgrades for the truck. Wife agreed to let me get a muscle car when I pay everything off, so I might have a Camaro/Charger/Mustang in my future. Obviously won't stay stock or NA for long lol

 

My wife and I did that a few years ago. 2008 was a big wake up call. Only owe on housing. I think next year we make a big dent in that too. No debt is an awesome thing.

 

Yeah I'm realistically 2 years away from it. Waiting for a big overhaul at work to rack up OT, so either next year or the planned one in 2020 will have me debt free. hoping to get a good downpayment as well for the car at that point and then just dump some money into it to pay it off quick. (Goal is pay it off first before modding)
