    @shakerhood

    Seriously, the battery that my boss drained in December 2016 is the same one that died today!

    Also, a riding mower has a bigger battery than a Honda Element!

    My Ex-GF just yesterday was looking to possibly buy an Element and asked what I thought of them.

    They're GREAT vehicles. My uncle swears by them and has owned two. The owner of the bar where I work who's worth millions owns two Elements (an '09 and the '05 that needs a new battery)!

    Do you have to get emissions testing in your part of Missouri?

    I think safety inspections are more important than emissions testing...

    I HATE emissions testing!

    Because in Pennsylvania, where I live, emissions testing and safety inspections are not done by the state, but rather by state-licensed garages/mechanics. That's a total conflict of interest. I mean seriously, the very same people who profit from repairing vehicles are "inspecting" them?

    Emissions testing is a crock of shit, at least for newer vehicles like my impeccably maintained 2010 Tacoma. Technology has gotten so great that vehicles do not pollute anywhere near as much as they used to. All it does is generate revenue for the state.

    Emissions testing costs $40-$50 a year in Pennsylvania, a waste of my hard-earned money!

    A cow produces more emissions than my Tacoma; don't even get me started on entire farms (and we have plenty of those around here).

    Note that I said I was in favor of safety inspections. I think a car with nonfunctional headlights and worn out brakes is more dangerous than a car that pollutes a lot...
