So my wireless charging pad really does not charge my phone very quickly. If anything it keeps it at whatever percentage it is at, but won’t actually increase the charge. My husband looked into it a bit and it sounds like it could be an issue with the iPhone X. Do you guys have issues with yours? If so, what phone do you have? Have you noticed a difference with different phones?

No problems here. Make sure turn it on. There a button for it. Also make sure the phone is contacting the pad correctly

I have an iPhone X and have the exact same issue. Tried it with and without a case and placed it on the mat closest to the driver. Phone charges like molasses and gets super hot.

bought a quick charge dual usb charger off Amazon instead

Now the pad is always off and is a place for my sunglasses.

I have never used qi charging before getting my truck but my phone definitely gets warm using it. Is it not supposed to?

It’s supposed to get warm but mine gets pretty hot. Similarly to if I left it in the sun for a bit and the phone shuts off due to overheating.

Didn’t want to risk breaking the phone just got a wireless charge.

Makes sense, I’m sure the charging pad is a drop in the bucket compared to replacing the new iPhone. I just ordered the Hondo mount for my truck so the pad is going to be obsolete as soon it comes in

Yel! So it seems like if you have the iPhone X you’re just SOL.

I used my qi charging for the first time heavily last weekend on a trip. I have a Samsung S8 Active.

Charging was decent if nothing was running on the phone. Oddly playing music with phone Bluetooth reduced charging significantly and increased the heat dramatically. Three times it got so hot qi charging stopped. I am thinking of abandoning qi charging and going to Proclip.

Interesting. Yeah I think every time I have used it I have been playing music. I’ll have to try it without playing music and see what happens.

I think it depends on what's running and what kind of signal you have. Mine is streaming music to the HU, connected to wifi on my GPS tracker, and checking all kinds of work junk constantly. Add in all the other crappy "loyalty" apps that run in the background and it adds up quickly. I have an s7 edge and if all that stuff is running, it'll get really warm/hot and the charging will just go up maybe 1% every 15-20 minutes. This isn't a fast wireless pad. It's a generic QI pad charging at base levels for compatibility. For fast charging, I have a small charger plugged into the armrest with the cable running through that little gap under the lid.

Even though the phone is on the mat , it just don’t want to work , both the lights keep on blinking like trying to find phone.

That's either heat or interference (like the case). Also, make sure it's lined up right. When I put my s7 down, I square it up with the front right corner and it works every time.

Works fine but slow (android 7). I keep the screen off. With screen on, it's basically a push. Just playing music through it. Poster above that can't charge at all: Do you have any metal on the back of your case? I had a small tab back there for mag mounting and it blocked whatever charging magic that was supposed to take place. Removed the tab and no issues. Does get warm though.

Just tested mine on the way home. 40ish minute commute went from 19% battery to 36%. Not using any apps/phone other than the entune app running in the background. I have a galaxy s8 with a soft cover

If you hold the QI power button for 30 seconds it puts the system in fast charge mode.
