Very few people seem to like their appearance, even my boss and my uncle, who both drive them!

My boss's Element is this hideous "adobe" color, but I've driven it numerous times and I love it!

Good things about my boss's Element:

ICE COLD air-conditioning that has never been serviced in 13 years and over 90K miles!
A surprisingly decent factory stereo system with an AUX input!
All-wheel drive!
Waterproof flooring!
4-wheel disc brakes!
Reliability (It's a Honda, for crying out loud)!
Fog lights!
Cruise control!
Power windows!
Power locks!
Remote eyless entry!
Alarm system!


Bad things about my boss's Element:

The ugliest possible color you could get!
Intermittent wipers that don't have a variable-speed function!
No backup camera!
It's not a truck, and therefore doesn't have a bed (That's why my boss calls me for certain jobs)!

 

LOL, I would only buy an Element for its reliability.

 

I considered used elements a few years ago. Ultimately wanted a truck, and also didn’t like that used elements cost almost same as used pilots.

My parents almost bought me a new Element instead of the Tacoma back in 2009!

My friend Luke recently got a FULLY LOADED '08 Pilot with 120K miles for $3,500!

 

Wow, can’t find any decent pilots around here for less than double that

 

It has it's share of dents and dings, but it has 4WD, ICE COLD A/C, leather seats, and a rear-seat DVD entertainment system! My friend's only complaint, specifically after hearing the high-powered aftermarket stereo system in my Tacoma, is that his factory speakers suck.

Also, today I antagonized a obnoxious neighborhood dog in Doylestown with my stereo system...

This particular dog is well-known for being barking nonstop and annoying everyone on the street, and it's owner is an entitled bitch. Needless to say, the dog did not like it when I blasted the opening riff of "Bat Out of Hell" when I drove past its house earlier today!

 

My parents almost bought me a used 2009 Mazda 3. It had 89,000 miles. I then convinced them of buying me a 1st gen DC with 126,987 miles. My dad then saw a 2008 with 43,000 miles in Dallas, and we ended up buying my current truck.

 

Is it going to be "your" truck? Is the title in your name?

 

In the future. It will cost a fortune to insure my name with my age.

 

So your parents have full coverage on the truck then?

 

I can use it all I want, as long as I don't leave a 30 mile radius. The truck is equipped with a GPS tracker that my bro received for free at T-Mobile. If I try to disconnect it, it will alert my parents.

 

Only my dad and mom, they have liability.

 

Even to cover me with liability insurance, our monthly payment will increase by $150-200! That is nuts.

 

How Orwellian...

 

Thank god they didn’t have that when I was a teenage driver

 

I pay about $110 a month for full coverage on my Tacoma...

Then again, I'm 29!
