Youve got a good looking pup man.
Did you paint the rig, i may have skipped a couple posts here n there i cant keep up
Dammmmm I hate AZ too man. Place is amazingly unlivable yet people live there
i agree its ok to hunt in populations where there are an over abundance of cats. Sad the east bay is over run with deer due to lack of predators and god damn wild turkeys that people arent allowed to shoot are out of control as well.
Ive seen bears twice in my life and tracks three times through my camp back packing in yosemite. Never saw em when they went through camp. Saw a black bear in yosemite valley, and a moma and a cub off of clavey river trail. Was the coolest thing ive ever seen. Super steep river canyon and the bear came down the hillside in front of the truck, the cub literally tumbled and slammed into the moms hind leg. Which it then got up on its hind legs n roared no fuckn joke. I honked the horn and it ran down the hillside towards some people camping by the river

Hard to find a bear though.

There are so many 80 series Ute conversions. There were some multi hundred thousand dollar ones at Overland expo. But the home built ones ive seen on the forums look better. The 4runner is pretty commonly done. One thing about the tacoma that's nice compared to the runners though is the room for rear suspension.

I maybe or may not have monstalined it last August haha.

I’ve seen a few bears in my day, but I have some help soo.
4RUNNERs can get pretty flexy cause the coils in the back right?

    Some of them anyway.

2nd gens and 1st gens have leafs, but 3rd can get flexy and rather unstable feeling due to the way the links are setup. Of course there are ways to fix that. The cheapest 2in lift for the rear of a third gen runner are stock FZJ80 rear coils haha. Usually can get a set for $50 or less

Yeah, Adam is very active in the LC clubs and forums. I come across his posts all the time when I'm doing research on Mud. He lives somewheres in Utah I think, prolly not near you tho.

Don't let cruiser guys hear you call it an FJ, they get pissy when you compare real Land Cruisers to the wannabe Land Cruiser, the FJ Cruiser. Funny part is the FJ part of the monicure is supposed to mean F engine Jeep. Not all 80 series are FZJ80s (1FZ-FE engine) , some are FJ80s (3F-E engine), some are HZJ80s/HDJ80s (diesel and turbo diesel H engines). Same goes for 60,70,90,105, so on and so forth. The series is the overarching platform and the letters designate the body style and engine equipped. So calling an FJ cruiser what they did made no sense since it was Prado platform based with a 1GR-FE engine. Should have been a GJ120 if it was actually a land cruiser (most certainly isn't)

The naming scheme makes it really easy to identify the whole truck with just five characters.

There must be a good number of them around you.
I looked every now and then around here for one and they are all either way to expensive or anything around 15k are all run down and I usually only have like 3 options to look at

Anything over 8k should be pretty clean, 10-20k should be near new. California is weird but not that weird. Can find a nice one to use as a daily in AZ for 4-6k

I like my F80 and my T32. But man soft handles and longer bars on 1/2" is like a requirement now since I've been spoiled haha

You know I was about to get the soft-handle one, but I couldn't justify the extra price associated with it. Is it that much of an improvement?

God I can spend hours looking at tools I don't even need... I just can't afford any of them. I have this great big toolbox, yet no tools to fill it.

That's ARB for you, although they moved the license plate holder, shouldn't be that low. For a tire that small they can scoot both carriers over too so you can see the stock lights. They must not know it is adjustable. I like the Kaymar bumpers more. I bet that truck will still bring over 30k although I wouldn't be okay with it for more than 25k personally.
