Sure thing. But it's open to the dreaded interpretation. Just heard this morning that washing machines are going up due to the metal. So, hard to say what's going to happen.

 

Ya I heard ya... interpretation can be done wrong and fighting it is kind of a lengthy process.

Well, if we are a few Canadians ordering, I would be in for a battery tray. I don't want a full kit as my setup will be quite custom. I can't fit the 2nd battery under the hood on the passenger side due to my ABS module being there, and don't want a side by side tray either.

I will speak frankly, driving from Edmonton down to the border is quite a long ride. I did it once for my bed bars and felt like it took forever to come back. I would not be making the drive again, so if someone is closer to the border and willing to pick up the goods, I can pay my share for gas and duties.

 

I will be doing the side by side since it's my only option for dual batteries under the hood. I agree with the statement about driving from Edmonton....I did it once last year and it was a PITA so if someone closer was to go, I'd be all over that and split costs, etc.

 

I just got the kit without the in cab switch. Can the ML-ACR I have be modified in the future to connect a switch? It looks like all the other five wires are terminated in heat shrink. If I stripped back the wire coverings, would I see the other switch wires? Also do you know how the isolation switch works? I've been thinking about using some of my switch-pro switches to control the relay so I don't have to put more wires through the firewall.

 

My mlacr came with the switch, but I wired it to a push button so all I have is the force link or auto. If I ever need to lock them off I’ll have to pop the hood

 

after a year of placement, I never touch the in-cab switch, no need to, set on AUTO and forget. search this thread, pretty sure OP made mention of future switch connect.

 

Good to know. I probably won't even bother then.

On the offgrid website it has an option for switch connect with their wiring harness. They apparently ship sometime in July.

I guess this could be the same thing as in the pictures you posted but it looks a little different to me. I was wondering if all of this turned toward the firewall.
I searched both threads last night for an answer and then I turned my house upside down for another two hours trying to find the instructions.

 

That horn mounts on the new battery tray. It's the only thing you have to move. The tray is a bit of a tight fit with the wire harness right there on my 2018, but it went in fine.

You can't see the horn, but you mount it on the tab on the battery tray. It's the only tab on there if I remember right.

 

Thank you for the help. Now that I know it just a horn it is much less intimidating. I thought it was some sort of vacuum diaphragm I Cerakoted the battery tray for some added protection.

 

Does anyone have any pics or recommendations for a bracket on the passenger side to mount a winch solenoid and Switchpro panel/terminal strip? I don't have any of the extra stuff on the passenger side, so I have a little more room to mount things. I might just need to do a test fit of the aux cage to see how much room I have to work with, but wondering if anyone else had done something similar.

I had a 14ga stainless steel plate that was big enough for the job. The plate used to be my winch box/air compressor bracket. I was also able to mount the Switch Pro relay box on the back of the tray since I don't have a fuel resistor. Now I just need to wire everything up.
