I have a 2.5 Lesbacy. LED headlight I'll see how that goes, and I'll start checking the oil religiously. Dealer supposedly warranties the engine for life. I did not buy an extended warranty.

Maybe I should have got the 3rd gen, 4R, or the RX 350 instead. :notsure:

I think they fixed it in the last couple years. Not sure how old yours is.

'18, I think I would have enjoyed the 3.6R more.

For the thread, I have 24F in my RC from the last Northstar Group Buy.

The battery from the factory is also Johnson controls

East Penn also makes NAPA, Die Hard, and (at least in Canada) replacement batteries for Toyota dealerships

    I'm sure it's fixed in the 18s.

2015 outback / legacy did go to a new battery which is horrible. The older gen was okay. As for your headlights they offered a 10 year bulb replacement no mileage limit. Call your local dealer and have them run the Vin. As for what u have spent call 1800subaru3. Hey may be able to reimburse you.

Die Hard is made by Johnson Controls.
NAPA is made overseas. East Penn made them several years ago but looks like everything is overseas.

Johnson Controls and Exide together manufacture almost every "name brand" battery that youll find in any autoparts store or retailer.

You are wrong. East Penn still supplies napa and die hard. How do I know?? I worked for napa, and now Toyota. East Penn rep was in last week and we bullshitted for a while.

I guess "Made in Taiwan" is all a lie too

According to Business Statistics (9th Edition) by David F. Groebner and various other online resources.

Johnson Controls and Exide make some Die Hard batteries. Exide makes NAPA

I'll call East Penn tomorrow and get the real facts.

EDIT: Update contacted local East Penn dealer in Denver and they said they weren't sure but that their warehouse stocks Diehard, NAPA and Deka batteries so sounds like they might, will find out more tomorrow.
