As you said, not ideal. Will it work/hold? It will, but I wouldn't suggest stressing it too much.

BTW, does everyone know that axle u-bolts are 1 time use fasteners?

    Thank you

This is the reason I want to use these U bolts temporarily. I'm getting a u-bolt flip in a few month when I get dakars, but don't want to spend another $50 for longer u-bolts to use until then.

In this case, the 1" long nuts are working in your favor.

BTW, anyone looking for u-bolts, Ruff-Stuff is a great place to get them. They have multiple diameters to choose from, and are all long. Once installed, just cut. No pesky length measuring required.

IIRC, I upgraded mine to 5/8".

As long as justin didn't hit his U-bolts with an impact I'm confident I'm fine. I've been using his second hand flip kit since I think December no issues..

It is about time I go and recheck the torque though.

I’ll be doing one at some point after college. They can just be time and space consuming.

That they can. With a lift they can be done in about 20 hours or so. The tacomas paid 60 hours and the tundras paid 40+ (i think 42ish but cant remember exactly). Never done one without a lift. It would make life not so easy lol

Yeah, probably what Scott B said, what ever those leather pieces are called you sharpen knives with.

As for the other leather and straps, make sure you pack those in your honeymoon bag.

    Captain’s Log June 27:

Today is day five of this sunburn, I have never encountered any like it in all my days. I presumed by now I’d have healed but all I am is a hollow shell of a man. A monster with no face left, no skin to show for himself. My body has been so badly burned I had to go to an urgent care clinic and get medicine. Yesterday I showed up to an interview and got the job, but it took me over an hour to get dressed and I couldn’t move for the rest of the day after leaving. I hope this sunburn ends soon, because if it doesn’t then God help us. God help us all.
