After seeing this I wish I had done it instead of springing for the TRD Pro wheels. That made a huge difference

I used the all in one primer/paint if you look at the original picture.

Looks great! I Derped mine and added the Red TRD resin decal and it truly changed the whole look of these wheels. I think I like your gloss finish better, but will stay with the Derp for now nice job!

Also on your lift how’s the ride with just the front coil overs and blocks in rear?

I'd really like to see someone do this in gunmetal. Maybe it will be me, if I decide I can't hold out for Ray 10 any longer.

How about white? First gen Tundra wheels. Stripped, sanded, etching primer, duplicolor 040 white, and 3 coats of clear.

But you don't need to sand when you plastdip...that's kind of a big selling point about dipping instead of painting.

I know you did the 2 light coats in the beginning 2-3 minutes apart, but how long did you wait between each coat after the light coats?

Correct, I didn't sand my plasti-dip rims. Sorry for the confusion.

That's the Beauty of Plastic-Dip. If you don't like it, you just peel it off and you still have your $40k wheels. :D:thumbsup:

    ...stuff
If people are paying $40k for wheels... they’re getting ripped off

If anyone looks at my wheels, they can't tell they aren't OEM/professionally painted. If I get picky, I can color sand them a bit, but otherwise, they look great. It's been weeks and they still look amazing.
