The ones with the built in yellow funnel are probably easier to manage. I like the one shown with the removable metal filler neck but it can stick inside the truck’s filler tube if you push it in too far.

Well they have more use than just extending the range on your truck, I personally bought mine knowing I'd use them to help others and probably not actually need them myself. Same reason I carry an epi-pen, fire extinguisher, glass breaker/seat belt thingy. I think all of that stuff I'm more likely to use helping others.

I've owned my rotos for like 8 months and I've used them 8 times.

5 stranded motorcycles (as a motorcyclist myself whenever you see motorcycles on the side of the road 90% of the time its because they ran out of gas) and 1 Porsche Cayenne that ran out of gas on the middle of the 405.

I've also used it to start a bonfire on a particularly windy beach, and I've used it to extend the range on my Zodiac when I took her to the open ocean.

    Plastic doesn't rust or corrode.
Hatteras Island, NC. Outer Banks, but I use my Rotopax when I go surf fishing and camping at Portsmouth Island and Cape Lookout NC. Private Ferry takes you over and drops you off on the beach. Just be at the dock when your supposed to leave. Stayed in Cape Lookout NC May 23-28 and it's awesome, 20 miles of beach, lock it in 4x4 and ride.

Corolla sucks to me, flat beach and too many people that can't drive in the sand. And now there's a ORV fee to drive there also. You can't park near the surf, have to park in the middle for morons that don't need to drive on the beach anyway or the folks that have a vehicle that isn't really cut out for beach driving to stay on the packed sand. South of Ocracoke is what they call Core Banks, it's Portsmouth Island and Cape Lookout, both have private ferry services and cabins you can rent in a small village ran by the park service. Beautiful beaches that are like your own private island. Not alot of folks make that trip and that my kind of place. You can also take ATVs or side by side there also. Great beaches with no tourism, but there are no stores or gas stations either, so you have to load up for your stay.

I wouldn't understand. Second gens still have an odometer, so it's not alchemy or anything to figure out about how much until you stall out.

Just don't run out of gas, OP. Rotopax are the high capacity mags of the truck world.
