Welp.... emailed Tonneu about the hail damage. Warranty doesn't cover "acts of god". Can't say im surprised but you'd think a $1000 bed cover could stand up to a bit of hail. Owning it for only 2 months is especially discouraging.

Another vote for the Hondo Garage Un-Holey phone mount.

Looks like most people use the X-Mount. Thought I'd show one alternative.

The pegs on the sides are adjustable and optional. The top grabbers are spring-loaded. It comes with the traffic cone rubber grabber covers, but they're not necessary. If I get ambitious one day, I might slip some clear vinyl tubing over them.





Quit mocking my phone. Yes, it's an S4, but it's employer-provided so it costs me nothing and does more than I need it to do.

I have to use mine quite a bit for work......and get no help on the bill from the employer.

 

I think the problem isn’t that they are over tighten the filter housing, it’s that they are not putting a bit of oil on the rubber gasket ring. At least that was my experience when the dealership did the final free service. If you don’t put a bit of oil on the rubber ring it drys up and fuses to the engine block, as we all learned when we had spin on filters. The cool thing about the aluminum filter housing is it has a couple of wings on the bottom you can tap slightly with a small ball peen and it will come unstuck.

 

If the employer wasn't paying for it, I probably wouldn't even have one. I can get along quite well without it. It's not an appendage.
