Works great, tunable, whip instead of bulky glass which whistles in the wind and it's a magnet base so it can come right off if hitting a car wash, etc.

Get a single din sized CB and you can mount it in the dash with a single din stereo...just find one with a speaker on the face so you're not projecting sound into the console enclosure...

...and I'll echo the earlier comment on the thru glass antenna....not bad for close range, but won't get you nearly as far as a regular stick....

james...do you not have any truck stop type of stores near you?

i havent read the whole thread but try to buy local because you'll get a similar price, dont have to buy a package, and dont have to pay for shipping or worry about getting the wrong thing shipped to your or the wait time

Just tryin' to help...had a CB in my old Frontier...haven't put one in my Taco yet, but when I do, I'll sepnd a little extra to have a functionally efficient clean install (read: in-dash with front facing speaker)...Had the last one in-dash...it was smaller than din but I made spacers...but speaker on bottom just projected sound down into the column...with TRD cat-back exhaust I'll need a better sound solution...expecially with my aging, rock-n-roll-damaged ears....

With a CB you can hear when the truckers are ooogling your passenger seat cover...
